2011 e350 Wagon lightly moded

Just wanted to share a few things I have done to my new to me wagon. Picked this up from a dealer 6 hours away from me on June 2017. Previous owner was an elderly couple who bought it brand new at that same dealer. Had the wagon serviced there right on time every time as per maintenance schedule. I had them print out service records, reviewed them, and was in excellent condition prior to picking it up. To top it off, pretty low mileage based on the year.

Here is what I have done so far:

Exterior:
- H&R Springs in the front and lowering links in the rear
- OEM 20 x 9 ML63 amg rims
- 245/35/20 Pirelli Sottizero Winter Tires (no rubbing)
- 15mm Spacers front
- 20 mm Spacers rear
- Clear Corners
- Programmed DRL brightness to the max
- White LED in the side mirrors
- White LED in the rear license plate
- SolarGard Quantum 28 Window Tint (looks somewhat like the OEM windows on the S-Class)
- OEM Mercedes Roof Rack

Interior:
- C63 amg Steering Wheel Alcantara with lane assist, no heat though
- 2012 Cluster and programmed with facelift amg look and functions
- Colored needles red
- MAcarbon CF red start/stop button
- amg pedals and e-brake
- White LED on all interior except for reading light
- New door pins
- Seat adjuster covers
- Updated Nav to 2017 maps
- Navigation in motion unlock
- Throttle response adjustment for less lag and better acceleration
- Removed Torque Limiter
- Two New Climate control modes added

I think I’ve covered all of it. Just waiting for summer to come around 😊.

I am open to questions to help out a fellow member. Thanks

I've always liked the looks of the wagons, nice work.

Wow, that's a beauty, and you've done some nice mods.

How did you color the needles? I like that

I imagine you need a STAR or similar system to enable the nav unlock, right?

TO_MB 01-01-2019 09:49 PM

Thank you. Colored needles by taking cluster out. Taking top off which exposed the dials. Just took a sharpie pen and colored the inside of the needles. A little tricky due to the narrow space but just keep at it.

All programming was done by MB House here in Toronto that used the STAR system.

Nice work!
I'll keep an eye out for you, there's not very many wagons here in the 6

TO_MB 01-02-2019 07:32 AM

Thanks Gasmiser. Always loved the wagons, drove to Ottawa to pick this up. How is your coming along?

I was just thinking that. I love the W212 but there's just something extra sexy about these wagons.

Beautiful build. I have a 2010 Sedan with the ugly pixelated gauge cluster. I am very interested in upgrading to the color display. Can you tell me how the process goes? Where did you source your cluster from and do all the functions work? Mileage correct? I'm guessing so I just need more clarification on someone who has already done the mod. Thanks!

TO_MB 01-03-2019 10:37 PM

Thanks. I bought a cluster from a 2012 e class which has updated look. You can get them online, eBay, even a wreckers. The key is taking it to a shop that has the STAR programming who can download the mileage from your car into the cluster. Search out the shop first before you buy the cluster.

Shop here is awesome, they can do so so many different things for our MB’s. Hope this helps a little.

Thank you for the info. Found some options on eBay but before I buy I am going to ask my Indy if he'll reporgram it. He already doesn't like some of the stuff I've done to my car... 2018 CLS 63 AMG Steering wheel and a 2014 E Class Steering column :D :nix:

Had this on for a couple of months now and I really like it... EVERYTHING works, and it also iluminates properly at night. Leather is so new and soft it forces me to wash my hands everywhere I go

I love that look! It’s a must for an upgrade. Before doing my swap, it was nerve racking from doing my research. I bit the bullet and bought this one locally. Swap was so easy!

Those wheels are amazing. Everytime a new person replies to this thread I find myself looking at your pictures again... Killer setup

Thank you. I’m just trying to keep it simple and everything MB look. Here is a before and after with the stock 18’s when I picked her up.

GORG

I've always been fascinated with the MB wagons. When I win lotto (lol) I'm headed out to get an AMG63.
in the meantime I'm searching for a used e350 with P01 or P02 package. Problem is I keep finding a whole bunch iof cars being shipped down from Jersey and NY to Florida and they are sure to have rust...and the prices. All seem consistently 2-4k over KBB. Wondering if other E350 wagon fans see the same?

Still loving the car, but what's up with that rear wheel? It looks like an egg.
(Actually, front does too... but the rear looks especially bad. Is that just the camber?)

I think it's artifact from the "Photo Shop" work done. If you look up a few comments you see maybe the original photo .

I live in Tennessee. I drove to Columbus, Ohio (16 hour round trip) to get my wagon. I searched for several months. Had friends luckily check out 3 different wagons before I pulled the trigger on mine. I had friends that lived in Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Fort Wayne that looked at cars. The one I ended up with, the dealer was great sent me all kinds of photos and helped as much as they could. Mine was owned by elderly couple. Just had the rear air suspension fixed not long before they traded it in. Wagons seem to hold their value better than the sedans. They will sit on lots for a while, because it takes a special buyer to get one. I tried to use that to my advantage to get some off the price. Some were more reasonable than others when it came to price haggling.

TO_MB 01-14-2019 12:56 PM

Hey I was just in Cookeville TN last week.

Wagons here are hard to come by and are gone almost right away. I had to fight off 3 other people to get mine lol.

Let’s see your wagon, post pics pls....

Just the picture, not sure what happened when I took it Obviously it’s round, lol. Had it aligned and camber is just about -2 deg . Waiting for my camber kit and will install in the summer.
