Airmatic Issues?

So I made a thread few months ago about getting a small shake while driving. I replaced wheels, tires, pads/rotors and still exists! Now since it is much colder now, it def more noticeable. I really don't know what is going on as I took it to the dealer and they said "we cannot re-create" the sound. The slight shake is still there! I know usually there are few service bulletins on Airmatics but it was the 2010-2011 models but don't know if it pertains to the 2012+?

driveshaft, 4Matic transfer case, axles? All can cause shake if it is not being felt in your steering wheel. If at speed and you have one finger on the steering wheel and can feel the vibration it is more than likely still associated with suspension, wheels, tires.

Yeah the steering wheel shakes a bit at speed. It is annoying lol.

I am thinking of getting aftermarket warranty to be honest since I am so ****. Any recommendations?

Have you tried having a service adviser ride with you to observe it, instead of relying on them to "replicate" it themselves?

I'd tell them to give you someone else. If it's there and it's evident I would be extremely pushy.

I just bought extended warranty from Endurance and will make a claim later in the year. It isn't bad but had a tech friend take a look and he said just "ride it out"

Might be long shoot, but I had a vibration on W211 wagon, that took me 2 months to track. It was changing with wheel speed, so wheels and shafts were strongest suspect.
Long story short, after 2 months of going under the car for checking, rechecking and re-rechecking, I found that control arm bushing was bad. It was hard to tell as hydro-bushings have some play when new and mine with small play was touching metal to metal. Not really big play to make it obvious during inspection, but with wheel turn that thing was resonating.

I went in for an oil change at a local shop and told them to look at it.

They said there is some play on the upper strut mounts and most likely what the issue is. I assume since it is airmatic, I will need to replace the entire strut/bag on that side since there aren't any parts just for the mounts on airmatic. Unless I am wrong?

He said most likely the front two stuts will need to be replaced but he said upper strut mounts def have play so don't know if I can just buy the strut mounts and do it that way?

New wheels, Are they MB wheels or after market? If after market then they probably are not centered to the hub but are supposed to be centered by the lug bolts. This is not good. I went thru the exercise and my after market wheels would not stop shaking until centering rings were installed. with bolts centering vibration always came back with 65 mph+ speeds no matter how well the tires were balanced. Centering rings fixed it.
