I have yet to find a youtube for changing plugs on the M276! That PDF up here is great, but I'm more of a visual person and need a demo;)

Hey Dacia, do you have part number for these gaskets you're referring to?

Here you go.

Flange gasket
Between intake manifold and intermediate flange A2761410180https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...232279f3c9.jpg
Notice the little guide ear on the upper half of the gasket, in the middle bottom..

I dont see why they shouldnt last another 15 years.
m276 is not boosted and the only reason dealership removes the manifold is because its easier to access the driver side coils/plugs. Just because a factory has determined one way, it does not mean people will not find shortcuts that are still up to spec. .

Well the temperature is pretty hot in there and it's a rubber gasket so I imagine it will harden over time.
Anyway, I'll tackle this in a month or so and I will see how I feel about removing the intake manifold.
I have a couple of videos from youtube, it doesn't look very difficult if a bit time consuming.

I did the spark plugs on 2013 e350 in about 2hours.
I used a piece of string rope, wrapped around the coil and used a piece of wood for leverage when pulling up.

There is a spark plug boot plier that is designed to grab stuck boots and help to remove them without damaging the boot.
There isn't enough space to use it?

If you could make a video of the work, you'd be the first to show how it's done on the M276!

Nope, not even close by a mile. There are metal bracket on the side and intake manifold from the top. I had to use a screw driver to route the rope around the coil. I did not pull by the rubber, I wrapped around a plastic tab that is there to pull on. This is just for that very last plug on drivers side over by the firewall. Its not that bad unless you have stiff fingers. The coils can stick to the plug and keeping pressure while pulling is neccesary. They will not come off with just sudden pull, you need to apply pressure and hold until it pops off.

Thanks, that's great info before stating the work.
