2012 E350 looking for Xenon Headlights
I have halogens on now and I’m looking for a complete set of Xenons please let me know

Look at aznoptics. They have a mirimoto hid kit that is very good. I've had them in mine for almost three years now without any problems. The projector lens we have on the non hid cars actually provides a nice crisp cutoff.

Had mirimoto 5k in 2012 for last 3 + years, no issues. Whatever kit you end up going with, make sure its quality made so you do not have to reinstall it, getting to drivers side is pain in the rear.
Good luck. |

@AZN Optics I'm in the market for a HID set of bulbs for my 2012 E350 Sport as well and have a few questions regarding the Mirimoto XB35 Elite HID System - H7 5500K that I was hoping you or anyone on this form could help me with.

This depends vehicle to vehicle as some MBs use clips and some use brackets. If you have a clip, it'll work just fine. If you have a bulb holder bracket that has the headlight wires hard attached to the bracket, then you'd need an additional aftermarket H7 HID Bulb Holder hold the bulb down in the opening (typically $3-5 on ebay). Some have separated the existing bulb bracket from the wiring attachment and used the bulb bracket which is fine as well.
Yes high beams also use the same H7 HID conversion kit so you'd buy two kits to take care of your low and high beams
Yes, our kits are configured to work with your vehicle so have the proper standalone canbus harness required
Really just any flat spot. Many mount it to the inner wheel well section. Some who get fancier put in on the cross beam under the headlight that you can access to via removing the wheel well liner and turning the wheel to the side. |
I've heard that there is an H7, H7A, and H7B bulb type and the A/B has something to do with the return wire. I've read that the return wire should be on the bottom of the bulb when in the housing. How do I determine if I need the A or B?

I wound up purchasing Mirimoto XB35 Elite HID System - H7 5500K.
The size and style of the ballast and standalone canbus are much different than the picture or any videos I found. The canbus is pretty large and the ballast mounts with molded screw holes rather than a bold on metal bracket. It's going to be hard to find a good place for all of this that looks professional, stays in one place, stays dry, and doesn't get excessive heat from other parts of the engine. Here is a pic with a ruler to show the size better. The canbus is 3 inches long, 2 inches wide (when you consider the mounting posts), and nearly an 1.5 inches thick (tall). The other block is 2" x 1.5" x 1" which is also quite large to tuck away neatly. I'll figure out something but it's going to be a bit harder than I thought to keep it looking neat and professional. I'm not complaining, just providing info for others who might be considering purchasing this same unit. I haven't installed it yet as the bulb bracket I purchased does not work for car. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...cfff463f07.jpg @AZN Optics This depends vehicle to vehicle as some MBs use clips and some use brackets. Regarding the braclet, I found one I thought would work on Amazon, but it's not even close. I've looked on EBay and cannot seem to find one that matches what my car has (2012 E350 Sport). Picture of mine is below. I would rather not modify/destroy the factory bracket. Any suggestions on where I can get one that works for my car or a specific part number that you or anyone has found that works in a 2012 E350 Sport Sedan? https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...b2d8a9e15c.jpg Link to the one I found on Amazon that does not work |
