Just recently bought another pair of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+'s and honestly love them. I recently switched back from a staggered setup as I cannot rotate the tires and the 285/30/19's were too much to pay for every 5 or so months as I do a lot of driving. Also the 4Matic system sucks and eats up the rear tires so fast especially the way I drive this thing. The current setup I have are Zito 19x9 inch wheels all around with the Michelin 255/30/19's.
Does anyone else have experience with these tires, or do you guys recommend something else? I live in New England where the snow and temperature gets down to -20 (sometimes feels like -30 to 40).
Hi. I have started following this forum as I decided on a cpo 2016 wagon. Full disclosure, I have no experience with this car yet - supposed to take delivery tomorrow but looked more improbable as the days went by.
I do have experience with the DWS06 on the 2012 S550 4M, the 2014 GS 350 AWD, and a 2002 A6 Quattro before that and I can tell you that the tires are amazing. Incredible grip in all conditions, even the occasional unexpected deep puddle drive through.
I have them on our VW that is “tuned” to roughly 300hp in the front wheels. Only tire capable of handling the power “mostly” and still 4-season. They’re light years ahead of what they replaced (perilli) in terms of quiet, smooth, grip in all situations. Good chance I’ll put them on the MB when the conti’s wear out. I’ve had them on the VW now for two years and about 20k miles and still have lots of tread life left in them, probably another 20k before needing replacement. Given the aggressive but not too aggressive way I drive that car, I’d say that’s pretty good.
