It will fit. Are you lowered at all?

also DO NOT buy the A/S+ 3’s. I’ve went through a 3rd set on about 5 months now. Michelin have generously swapped out once for free with new tires but they’re terrible for 4Matic. The tears wear out like crazy and I do ONLY highway at about 70 MPH cruise control. They’re great In the wet and snow but suck when it comes to treadwear. I have conti DWS’s right now and love them. Have about 34,000 miles on them and they still have loads of tread left. Cheers.

Thank You for letting me know it will fit. I just bought those tires 2 days ago. Nothing ican do now.

Anyone else have this issue with tires?

The tires will fit, although I would double check the 35 mm offset.
See you in "bend and cracked rims" threads in the future.

I know the tires will fit. I was asking if with those tires and 35mm offset wheels will fit?

I currently have oem wheels that are 18x8.5 et48. Why do u say Ill see you in bent wheels section? still will run 18s?

They will fit. They will be super flush, but they will fit. You might have to have someone roll your fenders for you so it doesn't scrap when you're turning and going over a bump, but other than that it'll work. I have 9" in front and 10" in the back with a way worse offset than you and it's still flush.

I runs similar setup on my classic monoblocks and the only down side is that rear tires splash more dirt on rear bumper side.
I actually like the car looks with wheels sticking out more.
Read the topics about damaged wheels in this section. When low rubber on 18 and 19" rims make for higher danger of damaging the rim, some rims are prone to cracks, like the Czech-made AMG wheels my white car come with. I replaced them with 25 years old classics and those hold.

You're absolutely right. Adding to the 19" inch wheels, you'll go through the tread like no tomorrow. 4Matic has more power in the rear and will eat them up quicker than the fronts. Especially if you have a staggered setup then you cannot rotate them.

I have read that 35mm offset will work but haven't attempted it. However I purchased wheels from BRABUS and while they did not comment on what is the max offset that will fit, their recommended offset is
Front: 40mm
Rear: 34mm
This recommendation is for 18x8.5 wheels

I second that motion. The treads peel off the Michelin A/S 3+'s . Putting Conti. DWS06's on this weekend.

jlemyre 01-21-2020 01:34 PM

Yes. These tires do not hold up. I have tread peeling up almost to the core. with plenty of tread life left.
