Newer to Benz cars, but isnt my 2014 E250 a W212? It has a 4 cylinder diesel in it.

Oh yeah, that's the diesel, meant 4 cylinder in terms of gas engine. Diesel isn't too popular. Don't really follow them, They have various other issues and it's hard to find anyone besides a Mercedes dealer that would know anything about them, that's the main problem with a super low volume car. Good luck finding aftermarket parts or used parts specific to the diesel also.

Luckily the sprinters have the 2.1 diesel and the V6 older brother as well so those are pretty common. My car the E250 apparently isn't very common in the states, then VW/Cali/CARB/EPA killed the diesel car industry over here. I still see a lot of the E350/E320 diesels and once in a while one of the SUV types in diesel. After market parts (OEM replacement) seems to be ok, performance parts not so much atleast here in States. Just FYI my experience so far.

Right, but I got the feeling that the OP was in the US and we never really talk about the gassers in Europe as this is primarily a US based site.

Consider replacing shocks on pre-owned E350 W212

When I bought my 2011 EWagon, with 100k miles, I found the ride harsh, but both my Indy Mechanic & local MB Dealer said shocks were ok, as they weren’t leaking.
I didn’t agree & bought OEM Bilstein set of shocks on eBay for $500 & had my MB Body Shop install.
what a difference!
it makes sense to replace shocks on a 10 yr old Wagon with 100K!

SAM Satellite Module Failure / 2011 E350 4MATIC Wagon

Forgot to mention that when the front
SAM Satellite Module fails, forget the Indy Shop & DIY!
This pricy part ($800)when failing
can immobilize the vehicle, & can only be linked up by Satellite with a MB Dealer Mechanic.
My Indy Shop couldn’t figure out the problem & cost me a LOT in diagnostic time - like $800!
I never saw MBWorld discussion, but lived through the breakdown & want to spare others the limbo of ignorance as to the Satellite issue!

It's bit odd MY'11 has satellite built in the F-SAM... and FL uses a separate module in the left side of trunk
