i am new to this group.

i have worked w audis before but ive never heard this sound.

2010 v6 3.0d w212.

As i live far from city i am asking for help before i have ***** to drive it again.

this morning as i reached 50km/h a weird sound appears, as i slowed down the loud noise dissapeared but different sound came in.

I tried w ac off but problem still there, ac works.


idling and reving does not bring the sound up, only when i reach 50-60km/h.

Video so short it's hard to hear well.
With your description... we know it's speed related.

Either tranny converter or 4Matic bearings or diff glitter ...

what's the service history on those items??

hey! Thanks for your time and answer bud.

long and awkard story short it was a seal which connects roof and a-pillar. Few cm dangled over there and that at certain speeds made “horn” like sound.

I sealed it up and test drive was aight.

it was the last place i searched the problem, i had half front open…😁
