I tried the new 4L TT with 503 HP at the AMG Performance academy in nov at Las Vegas.
The C63 S and AMG GT-S felt fast but nowhere as strong or brutal as the current E63 with 5.5L TT. If they put this engine in the bigger and heavier E63 AWD it will feel weaker still. No thank you for me |
MY 2016 W212, E63 is the last of its kind 5.5 TT V8. With the inside not gearing towards having you focus more on social media than driving. And the engine being p(u)ssified to please emissions and follow other german sport sedan automakers. I'm pleased I bought the last of its kind few months back as I own the very last coveted timeless classic. Electronic gauges LOL.

^^^^ It's like my jeep wrangler I love it because it's rugged. I don't need my jeep to have electronic windows or give me access to social media f-ing joke if a salesman pitched me that b.s. Unfortunately most in my generation desire the latest gadgets while I grew up old school and appreciate the craftsmanship put into these MB W212 V8 and Italian vehicles.

I think the technology is impressive, but I'm not a fan of the look of digital gauges. I do think it would be cool to reconfigure the gauge options, but they just don't look substantial to me. I also don't use the autonomous driving features in my fun cars. Might be good in a hybrid commuter, but I prefer to enjoy driving an AMG.

I wouldn't even mind if my cars have crank up windows and sunroof--less things to break and better for emergencies.

check out the E here http://www.thecarconnection.com/over...z_e-class_2017

I had heard the 2017 was going to get a dash redesign and use dual screens similar to the S class, nope, here's a picture of the dash, still looks mostly the same http://www.thecarconnection.com/over...mage=100512412 They still are not releasing any info about the AMG so we don't know what motor that is going to have or if there is any truth to it have the 4.0 motor. Lets hope not. I do like the seat material better, looks more like the S class and the door panels look more like the S class. The car will have stronger steel in the frame and lighter aluminum panels and handle better for that reason. It sounds like the AMG even in the sedan my not come out for a year or so. The regular E will come out next summer sometime. Glad I have three years left on my extended warrantee on my 2012.

Super-sized W205. Looks fantastic inside but I kinda wish it was a bit more distinguishable from the C-Class.

E isn't that kind of car for performance. I think if you look for aggressiveness, you should look for another make, or at least for another body style.

Just going to leave this right here...

Want. E63S. Coupe.

Guys it is pretty distinguishable from the C class:zoom:

Good video. I'm really liking the 2017 E class. I'm getting a new car soon and debating on waiting for this car or getting a S550. I kinda want a bigger car and am leaning toward the S class, but I really want that Parking Pilot option, that would be a good option for me, from what I've heard it may not even be available on the USA E class anyhow. I see nothing on the Net that it will be available in the 2017 S class. I wish it were, my decision would be made then to wait for a 2017 S class. If I find a good enough deal at auction I may pick up a 2014 to 2015 S class. There are a lot of those cars out there.

I love the W213! I'm thinking about giving up the old Jag XJR and leasing an E43 AMG until I can afford to buy one in a few years.

No worries man, that's just the e400
E63 will be much more aggressive and badged up I think This kills me even more how they got rid of the e550 in the USA, would have loved the e550 for my wife's next car with those good looks of the w213 |

Really thinking of getting one myself, but the lack of better autonomous driving is the kicker. Right now I have a fully loaded 2015 Fusion Energi Plug-in car.
I'd have to go fully loaded again and without better Drive Pilot I'll have to wait until the 2018 version and see if it changes.... |
