Has anyone placed an order for a P3 equipped E300 in the last 30 days? Have you received a build date yet? Still waiting for mine!

On august 31, I placed an order for P3 but I specified that I wanted a mid December delivery date, and he was able to go into the system and find an existing P3 being made, and alter it to my specifications. Build dates were already in the system for each car, and mine will be produced 2nd week of october.

I just put an offer in on an E300 Selenite Grey, Nut Brown Leather, P3, 19" Wheels. They have them on the lot for immediate delivery.

Update: When I got to the dealership (75 miles away) to actually test drive the car, I discovered that the P3 package they said was on the car was actually the Q3 package.
I withdrew my offer.

The Q3 package does not include the head-up display option #463.

Do you really think the HU is worth the 700 or more that you pay for it.

My preferred sunglasses don't allow me to see it.

My fully loaded P3 is set for a mid November production. Delivery is around December. Fingers-crossed that it gets here earlier!

^^ if my car is being built on October 10th, with the holiday season, they are projecting it gets here first or second week of December. I dont think you are going to get yours earlier...

My salesman whom I have been friends with for a while told me they usually plan for 40-45 days for the car to make it to the dealership after it has been built. I dont want to be the bearer of bad news but just a head's up.

My replacement car is being built in the same production week. I've been told to expect delivery around Thanksgiving week. Your time frame from end of production to dealer delivery is about what my salesman told me as well.

I've had a car with a HUD for many years. It is worth every penny, especially for night driving. I don't wear sunglasses so that is not an issue.

My Sales manager called me today. I Was glad to finally have a build timeframe, but very unhappy to find out my P3 E-Class was "always going to take this long." When I placed my order 9 weeks ago I did so with the clear understanding I would receive my car in 2 months, not the 6 months he told me today. This all seems perilously close to bate-and-switch...or Mercedes of Charlottesville has serious communication problems. In addition, he said he had this information last week! Why did it take this long to pass it on to me? When I talked with my salesman roughly 3 weeks ago he was just as mystified as I was why it was taking so long.

The sales manager implied themisunderstanding was my fault. I came within seconds of cancelling my order while talking with him today. However, I don't want to make a decision in anger. I'm going to take a couple days to consider my options and then decide whether to wait on the car or cancel and go with a different make.

Mercedes and I are getting off to a very bad start!
