Given all the stories here about delays of course leaves me skeptical that I will see my car within the promised time-frame. I was actually told 6 weeks throughout the decision process but that was revised on the day of purchase (yesterday) to "...make that 6-8 weeks just to be safe because of the holidays." We'll see. It's curious that all the cars with noted delays have the P3 option even though most were not told that was the reason for the delay. Then I read elsewhere in this forum of issues with unexplained emergency stops on P3 equipped cars. Is it possible MB is trying to fix this before shipping more P3 cars?

Probably a recall. There has been a recall regarding a wiring harness that goes under the rear seat.

I ordered an e43 loaded from the dealers early order queue in October and was told I'd have it in late December. Now I'm told February. Not happy. Regards. Ned.

Sorry to hear that, mine is scheduled for March, hopefully, it will be on time. Id rather face a delay than extra dealer visits to fix bugs. One of my initial bugs was a command system that partially died.

Dealer emailed me and indicated I should have update on status in week or two....sounds like an empty comment to me....don't know why he wouldnt have a status up date in real time. Will post update here when I learn more...Keep your expectations high--isnt that why MB is all about?

After a mid August 2016 order date, I finally can see the end of the delivery tunnel...dealer says my car is now "on the water and heading for Port of Baltimore." Another 12 days to get to Baltimore and then delivery to dealer in Midwest points to my seeing it around first week in February.
Maybe February 2--Ground Hog Day!!

I ordered my E43 in December. "Build" date is first week of March, my guess delivery late March or April.

If you have the P3 Package expect a hold at the Port while a software update is accomplished. I strongly suspect that "update" locks out the features not allowed by the DOT like the intelligent headlights, parking by smartphone, etc.
Heads-up, I've had mine for three weeks and Connect does not work after two "fixes", and Parking Pilot is not finding parking places. Possibly unintended consequences of the portside software "update".

CAL - E.....If you have these issues addressed by your dealer, please confirm and post your suspected cause. Was it an easy fix?
Thanks for 'heads-up'.

Hi all,
I ordered an E350e (hybrid) just before Xmas and got a mid July delivery date.
That's ok as I'm not in any hurry, just wanted to sign before the end of the year as MB had a nice discount and loan options.

I believe US customers have priority. Longer delivery times to Europe even if transport takes less time.

We ordered the E350e late November and the delivery was expected to happen early May. Haven't asked if there are any changes.

What sort of options did you order? Seems certain options increase delivery delay a lot.

At October 2016 time the delivery of a basic 220d would have been from January production.

I got an AMG exterior (Cavansite blue), Exclusive interior, BuTTmester sound, Park-pilot, Widescreen cockpit, Distronic+. It's supposed to be a 2018 model.

I've been searching up and down looking for differences between the US and German/European models. I know certain things like the windshield and orange side reflectors are a given.

Do you happen to know of the other features our European brethren get that we don't?

Remote Parking Pilot and fully functional Intelligent Light System. The US version is crippled.
