Here is the latest E-Class wagon order guide (including the latest MSRP info)...

I've seen photos of the flat bottom steering wheel on the E400 wagon; however, it's not even listed as an option. Bummer.

I'm comparing this to the smaller GLC AMG43 - its slightly more powerful and if optioned the same is a bit cheaper (not by much). Disappointed that the heads-up display only can be had with the 11K Premium Pkg. At least on the GLC43 you can order it as a standalone option.

Thank you. I have been waiting for this.

Your welcome!

Seems like the cheapest way to get a V6 in the E-class....I wonder how many people will end up with the wagon just to get a decent engine.

It is a great engine. I have it in my 2016 wagon. I would think that the same engine will be available eventually in a sedan model

Yeah, the E43 is also a disappointment from the standpoint of options, no designo interior, no heated steering wheel, and they also pulled the plug on the carbon fiber trim (which appears to be E63S-only now).

I would seriously consider the wagon if my main motivation to look at the E43 was for the V6.

All the manufacturers are pushing hard to meet the CAFE standards - this explains the big push for smaller car offerings with more fuel efficiency. The idea of an E-class with a 4 cylinder engine is pretty laughable! Especially as the price has gone up a lot !

I've been trying to get info but no air body control as well?

And thanks for mentioning the heated steering wheel option, that seems like a deal breaker for me. Considering that I live in the frigid cold.

I looks like the E43 comes with the same (or similar) suspension as the E63 (based on the air body control):

Yeah, it really seems like the E400 omission in the U.S. leaves a hole in the E-Class line-up that is bigger than what the E43 can successfully fill.

AND, there are many of us who WILL NOT order a "Sports" model, as we ONLY want a "Luxury" model, with the little 3-pointed star sitting on TOP of the hood, where it belongs. What about us??? We want 6 or 8 cylinders as well. We NEED the E400 to come to the USA in Luxury trim.:confused::confused:

I'm with you, I would give anything for a luxury model E63... I think that would rock.

It is called the S Class. A new S Class with the I-6 engine will be out in summer 2017 as a 2018 model.

If it was 600-hp and could do 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, I would be on board... :y

Mercedes doesn't make any sedan that can do that.

Well, that would not be my choice, as I have no need or desire for that kind of performance. My very first choice would be a Luxury trim E550, but those days are over. I just don't care for four bangers, so I'm willing to settle for an E400. This would be my wife's car anyway.:D

ua549 12-14-2016 11:57 AM

The E63 S 0 to 60 needs 3.3 seconds while the base E63 needs 3.4 seconds according to a Car and Driver review.

The E400 will still have more than 400 hp. That's plenty for a grocery getter.

The actual time comes from AMG's posted 0 to 100 kph, which is 3.4 for the "S"... if you do the math, it comes out to 0 to 60 in 3.283. Since we know Mercedes never overrates their 0 to 100 times, 3.2 will be the real-world starting point.

...Fast forward to 5:34 and you can listen to the head of AMG, Tobias Moers, tell you how fast it is at the L.A. Auto Show last month:

Getting back to the MY2017 E class wagon, I had hoped for a 2016 Euro delivery wagon but life got in our way this fall. Now the same well equipped wagon is at least 7,000 more without the Drive Pilot 11K option. That's like 9% increase, wow. I have to look at other wagons, sorry MB. https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon9.gif
