Roller blinds for rear side windows

HI, I was wondering if there is a way to get/install window shades for the rear side windows for the 2017 E300? I did not get the option to order them in the US and ended up taking a car form the dealers lot with most of the features I was looking for but would want ot add the roller shades....

Manually operated (313) or electric (540)?

I checked with my SA last week and he tried to talk me out of installing the option. He did not know if the curtain is available, cited the potential of voiding the warranty, said that they had outright refused to install similar option in the past, and I'd have to get a 3rd party installer to put in the curtains if I really want to have them installed in the car.

I was thinking manual..... assuming electric will be a much bigger undertaking and much more expensive....

Simpler but still not exactly simple. Needs a complete rear door panel, window frame panelling and the actual window shade (plus some small parts).

Its not so simple since the entire door panel must be replaced. Probably ridiculously expensive to do as an afterthought. Just stop be the nearest auto supply and get a 15 dollar sticky cup one if you really need one.

It looks like the rear windows are already slightly tinted, anyone can confirm this?

Fairly sure, if you look at the picks the panel for the roller shades, the top of the panel has a hole where the shade assembly goes in. If it were a simple installation on any pannel all panels would have a pop out cover there, they don't. I do know that the door panels are a single piece thus it makes sense you would have to replace the entire unit.

Roller blinds are one of the simplest window treatments available. Fabric is attached to and then wound around a roller. To roll the blind down you simply pull the fabric down to the required length, and hey presto! Roller blinds have become more and more sophisticated in recent years and there are specialist blinds and fittings to suit all sorts of situations.
