Hybrid mode in e220d?

Car is a 2017 e220d. Driving in E mode, sometimes the car gets in sailing mode. Fuel was low the other day and while driving in E mode I noticed the car getting into "hybrid mode" (hybridläge in swedish).

What is this "hybrid mode"?

so you have a hybrid car, and i guess it will start to use the battery more to save fuel

To save fuel in HYBRID mode, the hybrid drive system switches off the engine as often as possible during the journey when power output requirements are low.

Are you really sure that the engine is switched off whilst the vehicle is in motion? I'd be highly surprised if it did considering it's not a hybrid and does not have an electric motor to provide any form of locomotion. My 220d can't even sit at traffic lights for long before the engine starts up again, no idea where the power for steering and more importantly the servo brakes would come from. I had an e300 hybrid and that was loaded with various bits to make it possible to run with the engine off, my 220d shows no signs of the same tech.

.
I've not heard of a 220d hybrid. Are you sure it is a hybrid?

Perhaps it's a Swedish language thing, called hybrid mode in their market and something else in most others. No hybrid diesel it's made for the e now, I think they are all petrol hybrids (my w212 e300 was an e250d with an electric motor, I was surprised they dropped diesel hybrids for the w213 as they seem best placed to give mega mileage in the real world).

Has anyone else ever seen anything other then sailing or gliding mode display whilst in eco mode?I haven't but I hardly ever use it.
