Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I got the Eco Off module a week into ownership. I spent $130k for a car that gets 9 MPG. So the idea of Eco anything is pretty silly. Having your engine shutoff all the time and creating a lag in response to save $11 in fuel a year is silly to me. And once you ponied up for an E63S what is $174??? That is just my opinion.

Has any one tried this Eco Off™ for Mercedes-Benz E 2017 on there car yet from Mid City Engineering on there web site it is showing that
Mid City Engineering™ is now offering the only Eco Off™ solution available for your Mercedes Benz vehicle. The factory Eco feature defaults to the ‘On’ mode every time the vehicle is restarted- but not anymore.
With our all new Eco Off™ interface, Eco is set to ‘off’* upon vehicle start up, providing you complete control! Its $174.00

*Eco mode is not disabled and can still be used when desired.

If you are using this in your car please tell me how it is going for you.
cheers

The Eco/Comfort modes shut the car off when you reach a stop light and press the break. When you are in sport, sport plus, or individual mode (paddle shifts) Eco is not enabled.

Actually when I first picked up my car whether you are sport, sport plus or individual mode, you stayed in auto-stop mode unless you manually turned the setting off. Essentially you turned eco off and then selected a different mode besides Comfort. Not sure what the 2017 models do. I drive most of the time in comfort mode and the Eco-off is a god send for ending the annoyance. Occasionally when I want, I select sport mode and it operates the way sport modes do on other vehicles I've driven. It is something to use when you want but isn't on by default.

Yeah it’s different for 18’ models now. Eco/Comfort are the only modes saving gas now.

If any of you find it annoying to have to disable Eco mode every time you get into the vehicle, we make a solution to this issue. It is programmed to shut off Eco mode every time you start the vehicle, but the Eco function can be turned on and resumed at any time. Lots of satisfied customers. Check it out!

I've been using the Mid City mod for about 3 months now and it's worked flawlessly. Only problem I had with it is that the installation is a little more difficult than just plugging into the OBD port. Requires that you pull up the door sill and push back the carpeting. With the PAF feature the carpet is extra think and a little bit hard to push back.

And for those who think this is a waste of money, it's up to me (and my wife) how I spend my money.
