Rear drivers side door gap

The rear drivers side passenger door sticks out like it's not closed, anyone have this issue and had it fixed? I like to know the remedy. Issue showed up after four months, barely used the door.

Check the latch bolted to the door frame, is it loose?

If not, loosen the two bolts and adjust it ever so slightly inwards until the door is flush.

Let the dealer do it. They know what they are doing.

This isnt rocket science, if you can handle a wrench and have some basic technical know how you can do this yourself and avoid wasting time going to the dealer.

looked at it, it was nice and tight but dont have the tools for it or the time. Have a list of things wrong with the car and ill add this to it when I take it in. So sad the QC has gone down so much.

Ok, some initial W205.s produced in Alabama had some serious QC issues,
Thought it could be the same case with the 213

let the dealer do it for you.
if you do not want to or do not know how to let the dealership sort it out for you.

Have dealer check it, attachments cover adjustment & gap dimensions.

This is true but loosening those bolts is best done using an impact wrench since they are tight indeed.

Amazing how much documentation there is related to the car and how precise the measurements are.

Wow thanks for the files, I will give it to the dealer if they deny anything is wrong. Does anyone have the side chrome window strips on the door near the piller sticking up? mines are sticking up 5ml.

I do, they come back up after couple days or so. Dont want the dealer to mess around with it either, introduce new wind noise. lol

I beleive the VMI comes from the MB service system. They may also report any repairs to carfax. You can ask them how this might be reported if that's a concern to you.

I Would ask them, but when I took the car in he said "take the car back from where you got it and tell them to give you a refund" make me think they knew there was something wrong with it when they sold it to me.

What? Why would they say that? Had it been in an accident.

I dont think so, but the car was sitting on the lot for a long time until I bought it. So it makes me think there might have been a issue. Will ask for the VMI when I go to pick the car up.

If someone at the service shop said that to me and wasn't joking, I wouldn't leave without a detailed explanation and photos. See what they say when you pick it up.

Forgot to ask them as my car had been damaged while in service and took my attention away. They fixed the door but lightly damaged the door with there plastic tools. Cant fight it all....
