Bluetooth should work automatically once the phone has been paired.

thanks Sunrose305 & NYC-Style!

for now I'm better of with the ipod I think, as it gives me all ipod functions on the car screen when connected. (inncl playlists created in iTunes etc..)

However if the ipod ever breaks down, i'll probably switch to a usb drive
as new (touch) ipods are too expensive to only use as a HD in the car..

Bluetooth for phone calls works automatically, but I find that I have to "connect" (not pair) the Bluetooth player (i.e., the phone) after starting the car. In other words, the Bluetooth player does not automatically connect for me.

I often use Apple CarPlay, so maybe that's breaking the Bluetooth player connection.

As far as I know there is no internal HD in the W213. You can connect almost any size storage via Blue Tooth, USB and/or SD.

There is no internal hard-drive...at least not one accessible for media storage. But there are three USBs and one card reader so media storage options are pretty much unlimited.

We were led to believe there is an internal (non accessible) hard drive, that is where the map data is stored/located. I too would love to know it's specifications? I'm guessing it is either a small SSD drive or proprietary!

It is most likely an eeprom chip (flash memory) in the head unit or nav controller.

Yeah, I wish you best luck to have your issues resolved. Mine even can see high-res 24/96 files, but can't play these. Regular lossless files work just fine, but that's EU car in Russia - maybe it has some different software, dunno.

Just got a brand new 2018 E300 and love it

I'm using Apple Car play with Apple Music. It works well but where is the freaking physical button to play or stop the music? I can't seem to find it. I have to go to the music app on car play go to currently playing then scroll to the play button on screen. It's ridiculously. Please help

2018 E300 4Matic.
My new 2018 E-Class (with the optional Burmester sound) has gorgeous sound, compared with my previous 2015 C-Class.

I mostly listen to channels 75 and 76 on Sirius Radio.

Makes me think I should try the music stored on my iPhone.

Has anyone else noticed the excessive analog noise when listening to Bluetooth sources? If so, has anyone found a fix? I first heard this in a loaner C and then heard it in loaner 2017 E's. This one drives me nuts as I'm often listening to spoken word podcasts or lectures.

I'm hoping they've fixed it in the 2018 E, which seems to be sharing the radio with the 2018 S.
