Disappointed in Multi beam Headlights in the US and Tune IN Radio
I have a 2017 E300 with option package Q3 here in the US and it seems to me like the headlights don't have active curve illumination as I see no signs of any pivot in my illumination pattern nor do I see any curve illumination change when turning at an intersection or on windy roads. My dealer said functions were "off" when delivered (Overseas delivery) from the VPC. Performed an "Adaption Teach-In of both lights using 2D scanner then activated intelligent light system". I don't see any difference in light pattern on curves or on windy roads. Can someone post a video of how these lights should WORK in the United States. Very frustrating not knowing if the DOT hobbled these lights for the US or they just aren't functioning up to the standard for the US. Sales folks have no idea and I'm not sure service writer has seen the pattern to know what is expected of these multi beam LED headlights.
Also Tune In radio question. Is this a service in the US that only has a limited trial or should it be available as part of the standard MBrace 5 year program. I have not registered with Tune In for an account but when I click the Internet Radio option I immediately get audio not available and never connect now. I can connect to weather and traffic cameras.
Thanks for any help...

Tune In is not worth it until MB gets their Internet service to a more reliable level. Half the time, there's no Internet connection in the car. When it works, the start up and UI is slow and clunky.

early US bound cars mistakenly did not have their active curve lights/cornering lights activated and required a service visit to update the software. You can tell if at night, just simply start your car, and but it in reverse. The cornering lights should come on to give you better visibility off to the side.
If your vehicle does require the update, you wont tell much difference. The active curve is not noticeable because it isn't like the past where the entire bulb moves left and right. Instead, more individual LEDs turn on at the sides to give the effect of curving lights.
My car built in October 2016 did not have any problems upon delivery.

All these car based internet services suck since the service provider, Verizon, sucks.
They may boast to have the most reliable network, but that is only for voice, for commercial data services they suck royally!

The Multibeam headlight cannot tilt left or right, it "only" adds additional LED.s left and right as well as light the cornering illumination when turning in speeds under 50km/h

I have a E300 P3 in the US purchased in December 2016. When I take turns in the neighborhood at night the side turning lights turn on. Also, the headlight beams do move with the steering wheel. Just going down a dark road and moving the steering wheel left and right (like a mini slalom) one can easily see the beams move. It's pretty slick I gotta say. And the auto high beams have the coolest effect...

There are no servo motors for actuating the lenses sideways in Multibeam headlights.
You might have the "High Performance LED System" and not Multibeam.

Thanks I understand the no mechanical movement but additional LED's should light and the beam angle change here in the US; mine don't.

The car is equipped with the Q3 option package and that is multi beam lights. Can you share a video of your lights and their performance? Happy to see even cornering lights work. Auto high beams have awesome performance.

If you look into your headlights do they say "High Performance LED" or Multi Beam" ?

If your car is parked in a garage and you turn your steering wheel extreme right or left do you see any additional LED's light? I understand no servos to physically move LED's but accomplish the change in pattern by lighting up more LED's. Also no change in illumination when approaching and signaling a right or left turn.
Any chance you could post a short video of them performing correctly?

When parked and you turn the steering wheel, the light will not "curve" to either side, but the cornering lights turn on for additional light. I can shoot a video when I get a chance.

Just for reference, I have the old Bixenons with active curve illumination. If you're just sitting still, the beams didn't move when turning the steering wheel. Took me a while to figure out, but they only move when the car is moving. The way I tell is to turn the steering wheel while you're driving in a parking lot at night. That's when I would notice the beam swivel from one side to the other. I'm going to guess it's the same with the LED.

On the W 205 you can always tell when you turn the light on. They do a little dance as they go through the self leveling startup! However, the turn illumination is also with an additional LED that lights up when you turn the steering wheel. BTW, despite the song and dance the low beam pattern is pretty darned awful!

The multibeam also has a "calibration setting" once started, it displays a figure "X" on the road with flashing led.s
This way you can Always tell the height calibration and MFK-cameras work.
However the W205 has a servo operated lens that turns in slow speed corners.

Anyone know if the facelift W212 LEDs also didn't move? My Bi-Xenons in my 211 move a fair amount, so I'm wondering if they eliminated that on the facelift 212s equipped with LEDs?

I don't think they lights do as well as the w221 S class with active curve for cornering. I just has a 2017 E loaner for a week and the side illumination for cornering wasn't was good as last gen S class.

My Tunein radio access worked for a while, but stopped about 2 weeks ago. The E300 is in the shop right now to see if MB can diagnose the problem. Tunein radio can't be accessed and the system won't function as a hotspot. However other MB Apps such as a browser and the weather screens work ok.
My dad would have never understood putting a car in the shop because it didn't have internet connectivity.

Tune In Radio has a limited "Free" trial unless you subscribe to the entertainment package if my memory serves me. Has your free trail period ended? That was my problem and found it had limited connectivity when it did work.
