Might you have a photo or two of one of these grey/brown interiors? I'd like to see one.

Where to buy from?
Hi,
I've just bought myself an E class here in India and in the LWB configuration as thats what is only available in my country.
Love my car but the Piano Black finish on the centre console picks up scratches like nobody's business and I am one of those people that notice the smallest of scratches and the centre console on my car has picked up a fair few in about a week's time already.
The sad part is I can't get the accessory as a replacement in India, namely the part no. A238 680 15 03 as quoted by you.
I'd be highly obliged if you or anyone here could please guide me about how to buy myself this part to switch it out with the Piano Black finish.
Would be happy to pay for this and the shipping as well just need to know whom to contact.
Again, any and all help will be highly appreciated.
Many Thnaks

Dont think that one is available, for what I can see I can find the panel in,
Elm Tree Open Pore
Elm Tree gloss
Black Ash Open Pore
Birds Eye Maple
And of course the AMG version in carbon finish.
Price of my panel was around USD 650, but that is here in Sweden and our part prices are usually higher.

Unfortunately these panels are still very hard to come by, even here in Europe, both panels I have received was ordered using a specific express service that increases part ordering priority and is shipped by air freight directly from Hanover and then by express courier after taking ground.

This is interesting to me. You say "LWB," as in Long Wheel Base, correct? I also see from the MB India website, that the cars are actually made in India. I bring this up, because I am interested to know if the wheelbase of the E Class sedans made in India are actually of a longer wheelbase than the ones made in Germany. As far as I can tell, in Germany, there is only one wheel base for the E Class sedans. Do you happen to know the wheel base measurement of your car? Just curious.

Hi,
The wheel base measurement of my car is 3079 mm and the length is 5063
Fairly certain this is longer in both respects to whats available in Europe
Not certain though...

Btw, regarding that grey/brown discussion,
I have the saddle brown seats with the leather dash and that "greyish" black ash panels and I Think it works out truly great.

For all the guys that really do not like the look of the plain Piano Black finish on the center console, here some pics of a cover i found on the internet you use it to protect the center console and is not just plain black you can have this on the console till the Black Ash Open Grain original panel is available at the parts dependent at your dealership and is UNDER $50 U.S.

This cover is not from M/Benz but i think you do not mind its not a OE part Vic Viper as we all know on this site you put on non genuine wheels on your car in the first 2 weeks you had it from the dealership but for some of us that do not like the plain Piano Black finish on the center console it my do till we can get the original panel from M/Benz.... it is very easy to achieved this look without any great effort at all does not scratch the console putting it on or taking it off as long as you take some care and you do not need to pull the center console apart as it is just a 2 piece cover. but best of all the cover is less than $50 U.S. its only $43.99 U.S. today its on special
what do you have to lose by trying this cover the most is less than $50...work's for me till M/Benz and the dealership gets me a Black Ash Open Grain original panel and we all know that will not be for some time.

How can you say what it looks like if you have not seen it in person. if Benz had made the original panel so we that wanted them could go and get from dealership would be great but the guys at M/Benz did or could not think that far in front to understand what the customer may have wanted that's poor understanding by them of the market needs.

hey Vic Viper next you will be telling us how its not a genuine M/Benz part and you would never put such a part on your car.....that's why you think it no good.....

It is not hard to see on the pictures above, the layover panel is thick and makes a bulky stick on apperance.
Nothing wrong with the finish, it just should be a lot thinner to look good imo.
