Anyone have a 2018 e43 yet?

My dealer told me they were informed by MB Canada that all E43's are now certified and are ready for release. But, there is always a BUT with MB. There is a campaign correction to be made on these cars before they can leave the VPC Halifax. The computer moves my ETA by one day every day. The simple answer is that MB has no idea when these cars will arrive at the dealer.

I have been reading this thread for the last three weeks. I really appreciate all that has been posted here, so thank you all. I have been waiting for my E43 for a long time! I was supposed to get it early July, a 2017. But due to error by the dealer, my car did not get built. Dealer got it reordered as a 2018, it was built around July 23-24 and landed in Georgia around August 20. And it sat there since then! It was shipped to Texas earlier this week so I am hoping I will have my hands on it at the latest October 10.
I am getting a Selenite Gray, de-badged, with acoustic package.

Congratulations to all new owners. You will love the car. Despite the idiotic dilema of whether it a real AMG or not this is probably the best fast luxury sedan in the market right now.

Totally agree!...i get the best of both worlds, a reasonably quiet cruiser when i've got the wife and kids in the car or a very meaty fast car when they're not!.

Stamford.
Great Wagon !! I am told that the residuals on the wagons are better - my dealers says they are in more demand than sedans when they come off lease.
The E43 folks aren't allowed on the E63 form because ours aren't real AMG cars....

Residual quoted to me for 36 months/10k miles per year are 59% on mine. Not sure how that compares to the sedans, or the E43.

Got my ride last night! loving the car so far. The tech in this car is off the charts. going on a road trip tomorrow, will send some pics.
Thanks to all that contributed to this thread!
For those currently building this car, consider the active multi contour seat option. I was on the fence on this one, but I must say, this is probably the most enjoyable feature of this car for me so far (i'm coming from a 2016 c class).

The Car looks so so much better in person. It looks like a beast. Great lines.
Nice sound on start up. Well built. Solid door closing. Fantastic electronics. Great speed pick up. Probably a bit more road noise than I expected (I came from an A8) and more than my wifes new GLC300, but Im fine with it. Gear shift more pronounced than the A8 - but again, I am ok with it. Only in Comfort mode so far.
Overall very happy.

On Thursday on the dealer's computer the ETA for both my cars was Oct.27th and everyday it would move the date forward by one day. Now, maybe this is good news. It did not move the date forward since Thursday but actually went backwards. It is now showing an ETA of Oct. 22nd for both cars. I have not seen this since the cars landed in Halifax.
Or maybe the computer has a sense of humor and Monday it will show an ETA of Oct.31st.

It’s here but....
Car arrived yesterday!!! However it seems that the process has been cursed form the start. As it was coming off the trailer, they spotted a dent/scratch on one of the trunk panels that supposedly happened in transit. It is about the size of a hockey puck and was scratched down to the metal so it will require that the whole panel be repainted.
As if that wasn’t enough, the multi contour seats were not included in the build. I originally ordered the car as a 2017MY when the P3 included the dynamic seats. When the order transferred over to a 2018MY, I was never alterted that I needed to add the dynamic seats as an extra option. Not sure who exactly who is at fault here but I’m upset to say the least. The service department is looking into the possibility of retrofitting the multicontour seats.
That said, the Piedmont Green color I chose is stunning and the nut brown leather components it perfectly. Hope that you all have a smoother path to delivery!

Don't take the car home till you get what you wanted.

A) Insist on getting to the front of the line for the next car they can customize exactly as you want it
Or
B) require a substantial cut in price to take the car pictured - even after they repaint the panel
BTW not sure if it's your camera, my monitor, or the color itself, but I recall the Piedmont looking far more green in person. Pix look blue to my eye.

Good advice
Wow that really sucks. Sorry to hear it. Not sure what your situation is but I would either:

Or
B) require a substantial cut in price to take the car pictured - even after they repaint the panel

I hope that they will be able to replace the seats. Not sure how reasonable this is, but I know that they can replace dynamic seats when cars are rebuilt after accidents? Either way, I will not be paying full price for a damaged and incorrectly spec'd car.
Also, the paint does look blue in person! In the dark/at night, it looks almost black. In mild light (indoors) it looks blue. And then when you have bright light it takes on a green tint. One of the reasons I love the color. 3 different colors for the price of one!

Yea I totally agree with you and C4004matic. The car is staying at the dealership until this is all sorted out. They have already commited to fixing the dent. It's killing me that it is so close but that I cant drive it
