Which Cargo Mat?

Just purchased a 2018 E300 and I would like a cargo mat for the trunk (have pass through seats). I live in an area with lots of snow and I am leaning towards the all weather one instead of the reversible carpeted due to sports equipment, snow pants, and the occasional plant. Anybody have experience with either one? quality of the reversible carbo mat? do things slide around with the all weather one more?

Thank you

I have used a 3' x 5' commercial grade door mat available at Home Depot for $18.00 formerly in my Durango and now in my GL450. It is carpet in the sense that it's fuzzy. It is made to snag dirt and absorb water. I can take my golf bag and slide it in, something my friend can't due in his new Ford Expedition with a custom cut rubber mat. He has to lift it all the way in. The Dyson vac I inherited from my wife does a great job cleaning it. Low tech and low cost, but who's gonna look in your trunk and think you're cheap? I bet you can cut it to fit. And if you don't like it you haven't spent a lot of money.

Thank you

I've got the Weathertech liner in the the trunk of my 2017 E300 and it fits perfectly. There IS a small (2"maybe) wall around it that will stick up and not let anything lie flat easily if you're sending something through the fold down seat. It will flex a bit though so this shouldn't be a problem.

Also, you'll have to bend it backwards a bit to get to the spare tire.... oops... we don't have one of those.

Does the Weathertech have cut-outs or openings for the 4 cargo tie downs?

here's one i got at mb dealership. fits e300 like a glove, lip is about 2'' high. if you cut out for cargo loops like i did,
then its not totally waterproof.

I had the same mb cargomat as the previous poster in my c now doing service in the e when i want protection for dirty loads.

I found it hard to slide items over it (siutcases bags etc) and it got quite dusty and is hard to clean but offers very good protection. On balance i prefer the reversible mat for day to day use and the cargo cover for specific dirty or potentially damp loads. The c one was a tight fit in the c but although a little short for the e provides sufficient protection for my needs.

I've got the Weathertech liner in the the trunk of my 2018 E400 wagon (probably same fit). Its a slightly more precise fit than shown for the MB mats. It has sections which you can cut out for the 4 cargo tie downs, but if you open these up, liquids can get past these areas. The liner is fairly smooth, and things do slide around; I thing the MB liner has a checkered design to reduce this, which also make moving cargo around harder.

I also have all weather floor mats: MB OEM and these are great, and much nicer that Weathertech equivalents.

Get the OE reversible, it looks great and you get the option to chose side depending on the load.

With the reversible loads stay pretty secure on the non slip side and the carpet side does look really nice (especially in the estate like mine). Even this is pretty hardy. I had some washing up liquid spill on it and i was able to clean it up with no residue staining fothed a bit whilst cleaning it out:)

The plastic liner looked grubby after awhile and was hard to clean plus as mentioned sliding heavy loads over it was difficult making loading the car awkward at times.
