Car wash solution
I wash the car myself and wonder if there is a trick to prevent the car lock and unlocking itself besides having the car running or ignition on,

Leave the keys in the garage or in the house.

Yeah I leave my keys inside the car whenever I wash/detail my car.
But be careful because if you lock it, then try to unlock it the alarm will go off. |
Thank you for all replies. I use the coin machine DIY car wash. Just pretty much pressure soap and pressure wash the car every week or two. I just wish there are other ways beside having to leave the key inside the car. I just dont want anyone to jump in the car and drive off while I am drying the car.

Double click the remote fast and it disables the key fob. This will also stop any ability to open Car from thief’s who use wireless extenders to open and start Car

dealerships usual,y do free car washes, why not do that every once in a while so that way you don’t have to spend the time washing it yourself every week?

When I wash my car I put the key in my $15 rfid proof travel wallet. It blocks signals from the key fob as well as my passport.
