E Class 2018 Door Latches
 

I received my 2018 4 door sedan December 30th. I noticed the passenger door needed a little more than normal force for it to close. Spoke with the saleman and he said his wife's too had the same issue. Car is at the dealership to get the issue fixed. The service manager also said they had fixed a couple of cars with same issues. Just wondering if anyone else had the same issue. Thanks

I have the soft close doors - no issues.

Normally it was the other way around the doors where closing with too little force and blowing shut in the wind and that kind of thing, maybe they went the other way at the factory and now are making them too stiff? I dunno. Mine seem just right, I've got a mid September build. I know in my 2015 S Class the drivers door closes too easily and will not stay open if the car is on a up hill.

You kinda have to use some force but now it seems they are breaking in...

This was exactly my problem with a 2019 E300. The dealership just fixed it last week though, but the rear passenger side could use some adjusting though.
