Door swing

When you open the door there are 2 door stops, one is half way open and the other is full open. When I open the door it does not catch on the mid position, the door swings back and tries to close. Is there anyway to tighten that stop so the door will stay open.

Unfortunately, this is a “feature.” There isn’t really a mid stop position - even on my Coupe version, which has longer doors than the sedan.

I would have to say that this is one of my pet hates - it can be a real pain when getting out of a parked car...

.
My E300 mid-opening door stop works perfectly at least on the driver's door. It is the door stop that I usually use.

Hi, I had the same problem and there is a company fix. Apparently this is a common complaint on the e300 2017. I brought it in and they replaced the lower hinges on the two front doors.

Also had this same bs problem, dealer changed the lower hinges and damaged the car and said this is how it is. Havent had time to go back to get it fixed.
