E400 wagon vs E450 wagon - can I get a tuning mod?

I'm in an E400 wagon for 2500 miles. Now I read that the E400 will be replaced by an E450 for 2019. I also read that the engine tweak is just a matter of tuning. So you can guess my question: will it be possible for me to get the engine retuned and would I be covered under MB warranty? I'm US based. Thanks for your thoughts/ideas/warnings!

Will the 2019 E-450 Wagon be the same “model” as in W213, or a whole new design W214?
Considering a new order for the 2019.
You like the Wagon so far..?

W213 has a few more years left. The 450 is just an evolution of the 400. Essentially the same biturbo V6 making a bit more power via tune from the factory. That said I am not sure on how to tune the 400's to 450 levels other than the major tuning shops who could/would take the power beyond factory levels, such as OE Tuning, Renntech, etc.

I see teksurv has answered your question, NorseWagon.

As for my wagon, I'm really enjoying it. I came from an Acura MDX so I did find the wagon a bit small for cargo. But our dog (a Standard Poodle) has gotten used to it. Cabin is great, I love the clarity of the screens. Engine is very, very good. Strong torque from very low revs. Ride and handling are good. My only problem is noise from the 19" runflats, but that's because I drive a lot on rough PA country roads - with lots of potholes at the moment! On a half-decent highway, the ride is superb, and even better when loaded. Hope this helps.

Good info thx.
Must admit I have never driven a W213 Wagon, or even seen one up close.
Present ride is a leased BMW 328 Diesel Wagon, and I will return it in a couple of months.
Thought maybe I should splurge and get me an MB Wagon, my 100 Lbs Dobbie will thank me:)
Now looking for Costco pricing and perhaps order a -19 Model.
(Didn’t intend to highjack the thread, back to scheduled programming)

Has anyone leased their E400 Wagon in the States?

I did. (Not sure if you are still curious, but I just saw this.)

I am still curious. I was told that it was harder to get a good lease deal on a wagon than a sedan. They used to stock P3 equipped wagons in my area, but now they are only stocking P1 and P2. I am in a part of the country where wagons are still pretty popular.
