Harsh clunk on downshift to 2
2017 E300 - Not sure if anyone else get this, but once in a while, especially when I'm slowing to make a low speed turn, the transmission seems to downshift very harshly, always ending up in 2nd when it does. When this happens, the car abruptly slows, sending all occupants forward. It's possible it's a brake lockup issue too, not the tranny.

So I have not experienced a trans shift that stood out. But the car does downshift itself to slow down faster under moderate to hard braking. If i slow down quickly, the trans does feel a little clanky but its just doing its job. During normal braking.....very little downshifting feel.
What RPM is your downshifting feeling clanky? Mine feels its harshest around 1-2k, but thats only during hard braking.
