You and I have already had this discussion, but I wound up using the Wheel and Tire insurance on my C300 over the 3 year period and I came out ahead by a few hundred dollars. Insurance isn't always going to pay off. I've never made a claim for any house I've ever owned, yet over the years, I've spent untold $$Thousands on having the insurance in case I need it.
I had a pre-owned 2011 c300 4matic and got it with the wheel and tire protection plan (roughly $700). Now I am buying my first new car a 2019 e450 sedan 4matic with amg/night package and 18in 5 spoke rims. My dealer is telling me that the new cost of the wheel and tire protection is over $2000. Is this a waste? I specifically did not go with the 19in wheels as I heard the tread and rims are highly likely to be damaged. My question is, 1. is this a waste of money and 2. is this a fair amount for the protection? Please keep in mind I am a very cautious driver, a drive about 3k a year, i have the night package, so the rims are blackened.

Oh my gosh so happy for you two. Every day I google 2019 E53 AMG hoping for news, text my Sa, no release news on the AMG Cabrio. Im in production status yellow. What are all the status codes and what do they mean? D5 etc, Can someone explain that please? Thanks.

WINNER...kinda..sorry Sackboydad...my car arrived at the dealer. Technically I can pick it up tonight but I think I'm gonna wait for my regular SA and Finance guy...They promised to do me right after 9 long months!! Just gotta get the cd player installed and ceramic tints and i should be set. Longest wait but hopefully worth it. Thank you everyone for either knowledge, experience, tough love, and support!! See u on the road!!

Dealer Prep isn't really all that much. They'll check the fluids, tire pressure and fully clean the car, then hand it off to finance ready for delivery. That's why it only takes an hour or so to get a car ready to hand off to you.

Sackboydad....How about this...Where are you? pick me up...we will go to your dealership tomorrow...you can drive your car for 5 minutes..i'll drive you to the airport...i'll keep you car for the weekend...that way your car won't feel lonely...deal?!?! LOL...good luck!! I think since you are technically getting to drive yours first, but mine came in...it's a tie!!
My my biggest fear is while i’m gone my wife is going to take my 15 year-old with his LEARNER’S PERMIT and let him drive it 😳. I don’t know which i’d worry more about.... knucklehead teenage boy driving with a whole 2 months of experience.... or door #2.... parked at the airport in tiny parking spaces

I don’t know which i’d worry more about.... knucklehead teenage boy driving with a whole 2 months of experience.... or door #2.... parked at the airport in tiny parking spaces
