I think the A Class is going to be a class leading seller for MB. It's filled with amazing tech for the age group most likely to buy the car. The reviews have been really amazing. I'm not sure any of MB's competitors have anything which really competes well with it.

My fear is that MB continues to make cars down the MSRP scale and may in the end, water down the brand. The newly appointed chairman at MB, hinted at looking at the various models out there and may make cuts to streamline MB. You just can not be everything to everyone without having an adverse re-action to your product and service. Just my opinion. :zoom:

It's hard to say what the future holds for MB. One would imagine the C, E, S to stay around for years to come. In the US, they have always been big sellers. SUV's are also big, so the GLC, GLE and GLS are likely not going anywhere. Within each model however there are likely some which don't sell as well as others. For example, the C Cabriolet (at least at my dealer) doesn't sell nearly as well as the E Cabriolet. Same for the Coupe variants of both models. The GLC and GLE Coupes likely sell in fewer numbers. The lower sellers would be one way to trim the stable, without burning the barn down.

The current Audi A/S/RS 3 put a fair amount of pressure on MB with the outgoing CLA. Competition is great. Younger buyers are a strong market segment, and they may not care about the higher class cars in the range. The E class fits my needs, and with EV and SUVs growing in popularity, I'm just glad to have what I do.
