Infrared reflective windshield/Cell Phone Reception
 

I have a 2019 E450 Wagon on the way with the subject windshield option and have a couple of questions:
1. Will it impact cell phone reception?
2. The manual appears to indicate that the built-in wireless charger also connect the cell phone to an "external" antenna. Does that overcome any problems with the windshield signal blockage?

I have not had any issues with reception. IMO enough signal come in via the sun roof when the phone remains in my pocket. I rarely store the phone in the console.

According to MB literature it connects to the vehicle antenna when connected. Charging has nothing to do with it.
That said I don't know if that feature is restricted to certain markets as some other phone features are.
