How many click before we start the car on push start button?

I see some page or video that mention about the push start button. That said if we just push on the brake pedal and click push start button it will wear engine and battery more . The correct way to use push start button is click 3 times . The first time is to on the battery for the car . The second time is to checking the car and the third time is to start the car . Is that true? How many time that you will click on the push start button?

I don't know where you were told this, but just put your foot on the brake and tap the start/stop button and your engage starts. This 3 push method whoever you read or watched that from is pure hooey.

lol you still have to put your foot on the brake on the third push to start the car. Not sure why doing it from step 1 would cause more wear? lol

In Asia, a lot website or youtube video is talking about the same thing . They saying the push start is just like the key model , have to turn it to on , acc , then start. If not that will more wear to starter . When I get the car, sales agent is also brief me to just one foot to brake and one click . I don't know why it have this kind of said

Just because something is on the internet doesn't make it right. Just put your foot on the brake pedal and push the button to start you car. You're worrying about something you don't need to worry about.

So that is no point to click 3 times before start the car . We just need to click one time and push the brake pedal even cold start ?

If I try to start my car without my foot on the break, one press of the button or 10, I get a message telling me to put my foot on the break. Car wont start otherwise.

My guess is that he thinks he needs to put the ignition in mode 1 by the first click, ignition mode 2 with the second click and then start the car by pressing the brake pedal and a third click on the starter.

And that would be incorrect, in terms of how to simply start the car. Foot on brake, one push of the start button. The end. I will add that, there was a time, for some cars, that priming the fuel pump via using the key in "just before ignition" was helpful, but not today.

It's pretty amazing what stories people come up with. Keyless go has been around since 2003 on the E class. Just push the button once and go. I do it all the time. Otherwise that craziness defeats the whole point of having that option. Technically maybe that would lead to a lower current draw on the battery which might help if the battery were almost dead, but I doubt it would add to battery life as that seems to depend more on the charging algorithm used and the climate than whether you have slightly more current draw. Also meaningless on the engine, usually the rest of the car falls apart before an engine goes so even if it prolonged engine life, it's not what was going to fail anyway.

With the stop/start feature, your starter is going to get a lot more wear than how you start the engine initially. They engineers must have upgraded starters for the extra use this feature puts on them.

Keong (OP) i have noticed now that you make threads based on paranoia and fear of doing something wrong to your new car....I can’t help but wonder why you are so concerned about the correct way to turn on your car or what windshield washer fluid you should be using....

Serious question here, is this your first modern car? It sounds like you have been driving a moped your whole life and this is an entirely new venture for you

Makes sense. It's also easy to forget how these cars are priced in different markets. As I recall the US is the second cheapest market with Saudi Arabia being the cheapest.

Maybe you should refer on your car operating manual instead of listen to others. No manual said that you need to press the push start button 2 or 3 times. Modern technology is to improve human life, no reverse.
