MB Tex seat Separation
Both lower front seats in our 2014 Mercedes wagon have MB Tex separation between the front seat creases. The car has 66000 miles and a Mercedes 7 year 100000 extended warranty.
2 prior Mercedes with more miles did not experience MB Tex seat separation.
The dealership informs us the seat separation would be covered under the 50000 factory warranty but not under the 100000 miles Mercedes extended warranty bought when the car was purchased by us in 2014.
We asked the dealership to initiate a warranty claim. Does anyone have experience with this issue?

This would be better served in the W212 section, just FYI. Yes, there were several complaints of this happening in the W204 and W212 forums describing just this issue. I believe a TSB was issued, and the MB-TEX improved around 2015. Search for this info, and if necessary ask your dealer to request a good will gesture from MBUSA.

Happened to my 2016 E350 when it was just over two years old and about 18,000 miles. Dealer ordered new seat. Took about 4 days for the new seat material to arrive. Covered under warranty.

That's interesting that your 2016 had the issue. Where the stitching/material along stitching separated? My 2015 E350 did not have the issue in 3 years of ownership, and I recall Konigstiger posting a TSB. While my current 2018 E coupe has leather by default, I'm one of the crazy ones who prefers Tex.

Sir, I respectfully disagree with your opinion. I do however appreciate the cars you have owned, the 198...what I wouldn't pay to drive one today.
