New E class website
Just looked and 2019 is now on mbuusa website with the build option |
It's about time. If you go to my dealer, there's not a single new 2018 E on the lot and there hasn't been for weeks. It's about time MBUSA finally updated their website.
Just to see how the price for my car now on a ship somewhere in the Atlantic, I was given in July compares, it was exact. Of interest is for MY 2019, MBUSA is including a full one year membership with Concierge Services. If memory serves they haven't done that in the past. |
+!
|
I'm not seeing the 2019 models such as the E53.
|
I noticed that. It shows the E43 and E63, but not E53. Perhaps they aren't offering the E53 after all?
I think I've answered my question. If you go to MBUSA and click on the E models, the E43 page is like last years, whereas the E450 is a completely new page. I suspect they just haven't updated the E43 to E53. The Coupes haven't been updated from E400 yet either. This is likely a work in progress for MBUSA. And if you go to build an E43, look at the interior options. It still shows last years steering wheel, not the new wheel coming on the 2019s. |

You'll be disapointed. The E Cabriolets are still not updated on the MBUSA site. Oh never mind, you're not getting the Cabriolet. Sorry, thought you were.

Maybe before the 2020’s come out, MBUSA can get the 2019 user manuals PDF’s posted. MY18 is the the latest you can download. |

LOL.....Wishful thinking at its best. Should I assume the manual you received in your car shows the steering wheel layout of the 2018 E's?

no, my printed manual is for the 2019 model year. Just like the web site, getting consumers 2019 stuff doesn’t seem to be their primary focus 😬 |
MBUSA should be ashamed at how poorly their website is run. BMW and especially Porsche do it much, much better. When Porsche debuts a car, it is on their site 24hrs later, even with build capability most of the time. Every 2019 model should be up with building capability now with no exception since you can't buy much less order a 2018 anything now.

Jaguar started delivering 2019's in August and their website was fully updated with the 2019 models at that time. I don't get why MBUSA is so slow at this and still many models aren't updated.

MB is different to say the least. Very few salespeople have bothered to get my business from day one. |

I'd say this is systemic with a lot of dealers. I test drove and fell in love with the Jaguar FPace S. I literally begged the dealership to take my money. A month after trying to buy one, they still wouldn't give me a trade value for my car, nor what discount they'd offer. They wouldn't return phone calls or answer emails. I could have walked in the dealership with $75K taped to my forehead, with a sign that said take my money please and they would have just walked around me. This is why I should never stray from my MB dealer. I am taken care of really really really well by them.

Wow. Just wow. Absolutely head-spinning.

I have not had that trouble (and it is quite troubling) with the MB dealer in Clearwater. I do have a long relationship with the dealer spanning more than 40 years.
|
If you're replying to me, you know I've never had an experience like that with my MB dealer in Tampa. I too am a long time customer and they always strive to make me happy, make my deals as simple and pain free as possible. The Jag dealer I was trying to purchase from, should go out of business.
|
Holy crap. Is it just me? In the US of A, you can now no longer buy the acoustic comfort package? I am building out a E450 for fun on MBUSA and I don't see it. Is this a change?
|
I do not think the web site is up and running correctly.
For example when I go to configure an E450 4Matic luxury design I am forced to take the Air Body Control. On the E300 4Matick Air Body Control is not offered. If you select the driver assistance package it deletes the Premium Package. |
You just missed it as it's there. Go to the Entertainment and Convenience page in the build and it's a stand alone option for $1100.
|
Thanks! Found it: but it is $1900 not $1100. Hopefully it is a stand alone also for the E450!
Did you try to configure the E300 Luxury Design with both the Premium Package and the Driver Assistance Package? Note that the cost of each somehow is not added into the total cost. |
