Can you provide more information? What green ready light? Where are you seeing this light?

parkwood 10-27-2018 02:06 PM

Do you mean a green light with with an a in it if so it means eco stop start has switched tge engine off.

ua549 10-27-2018 04:12 PM

I do not believe that light is in US models. It isn't in my E300 and I've changed display configurations looking for it.

parkwood 10-27-2018 04:34 PM

It only shows when the car is stationary so if you turn eco stop off when you set off you will never see it.

I never turn off eco start/stop because the load on the A/C keeps it from activating.

parkwood 10-27-2018 05:25 PM

Do you see a yellow light with an a and a line through it?

ua549 10-28-2018 09:56 AM

No, the only eco indicator is the switch on the console that lights up when enabled.

Yeah, this forum's interface is very pre-MBUX. :D Not exactly intuitive.

Looked at your album picture. I can't help because I don't have my car yet.

But for those who might be able to offer advice: The light is directly adjacent to the temperature readout, just to the right of it. It's a green rectangle with black all-caps letters reading "READY." Certainly seems like something you'd logically call a "Ready light."

ua549 10-29-2018 01:45 PM

I finally got eco to go active by turning off the A/C and sweating bullets. The green symbol appears on the lower right of the instrument cluster lcd between the alternate speed, kph or mph, and the parking camera icon only when the car is stopped. I'll try to get a photo if I can get it to trigger again. When I did this experiment I was surprised by a message in the entertainment lcd indicating charging not possible phone too hot.

exactly the same as my setup ! Great minds. Sorry you had to cook to see the symbol. Interestingly for me it is cold weather that is the main reason for eco stop start not working.
Not sure what the ready light shown in the other post is.

osweeney 10-29-2018 06:39 PM

I have that eco on my console. the light im speaking about is as shown in the album however, I called the dealer today. we suspect that it may not be in the US models. Mine is a 2019 E350 with the in line 4 M264 engine with the 48V electric motor boost it may be related to the hybrid function the car has we suspect. he's doing some research

parkwood 10-29-2018 06:55 PM

Could be as i have an e220d eu model 😉

I drove that car last year, I just saw the ready pic and now remember it too. Do you find the engine to be really loud and rattly? That engine has some extra oomph compared to the e300, but it was too loud for me.

osweeney 10-31-2018 02:32 PM

Loud in the cabin no..unless you are in sport mode. Outside the car, yes people often ask me if its a diesel engine when I drive up. The extra power certainly is nice and great alternative to older V6 E350s

Ready to go.

On my E53 the Ready indicates that something will happen if you push the accelerator.
It is sometimes the ONLY indication that the ignition is on.

osweeney 11-21-2018 06:08 PM

makes sense, thanks
