Mercedes Me Connect - If You Can't Connect To Your New 2019 Car

@2012 merc amg maybe this belongs in a different thread now that this thread seems resolved...so if so, let me know and I'll create one. Anyway, I read that you get notifications if the door is opened or the car is unlocked. Where did you set that up? I only have notifications options if the vehicle is left unlocked and I've never received one.

This morning as I was getting my briefcase out of my trunk, my boss walked up and we just started talking as we walked away from my car. When I got in the office, my Apple Watch tapped my wrist and said my car was unlocked and asked if I wanted to lock it. I must have simply forgotten to lock the car when we walked away. So, I opened the app, tapped Lock the Car (kind of cool how you hold the lock button and a wave moves up to the top of the phone) et voila, the car was locked. Now, the do I really trust that the car really locked entered my brain, so I went and checked and indeed it was locked!!
But I never set anything up, for the notification to happen. I'm an iPhone user, not Android.

I see no reason to close this thread. I titled it with a title that is rather open ended for anyone to comment if they are having issues with Me Connect services.

ABSOLUTELY! Indeed, I only meant to take the 'features' commentary about a working Mercedes Me to a different thread and leave this thread uncluttered for folks that are still struggling to get their system's enabled. Hang in there!

That would be fine to have two threads devoted to Me Connect services. One if you can't get activated at all. The other for general user questions and tips. I'll start a 2nd thread for that purpose right now.

Maybe my call yesterday where they told me they escalated me to a higher level escalation team or they just simply wrote....."Please get this guys app to work so he won't call and complain daily!"
But this morning, the app finally connected!!! I can finally see all the cool things this app can do. I'm at work, so haven't tested lock/unlock, but hopefully, they work.

Mercedes Me, yes. Mercedes Me Connect, no. They are two different apps. The Mercedes Me app, does let you send an address to your car, unlock/lock the car and (on occasion, when the MB God's are smiling) remote start the car. The Mercedes Me Connect is all that and much more. But only for the 2019 model year.

It will email you when charges are made to the car such as a unlocked door etc. It will ask you in the email if you would like to remote lock the door. Mine seems to be working flawlessly on both cars at this point with all functions. Remote start does not seem to hang up anymore.

You should get notifications regardless of whether you're Android or Apple. Did you go into the settings on your phone and make sure that notifications were enabled specifically for the app?

Yes, the app has been working since day 1. I just figure to set up the Face Id feature…it was here that i had a bit of a challenging time. Maybe it was me interpreting MB's instructions. Who knows. But everything is Oki Dokie.

Figured it out where to find address; on ME app profile. Did see the email address on the ME app profile, and it is correct.

That was going to be my next question.
On the Me Connect App, on the home page, tap the little head icon next to the i in a circle on the top right of the page
Tap Edit Profile
Scan down the page to Email Address
If not correct, update it by tapping the pencil
