I am new to the MB brand. How often do they run these service specials?

About 2-3 times a year for the last several years, Usually different amounts, $125-$130 off is the norm. The last one expired in September.

The offer says: For vehicle maintenance of $300 or more. One-time use only. Must present at time of purchase to receive offer. Valid at participating Mercedes-Benz dealerships through 12/31/18.

So, is this offer good for any repair or only for regular maintenance?

Any service. Most dealers are probably happy to pad the bill for you to get you over the minimum.

Hahaha, maybe to add $150 to the regular bill to be able to give me a $150 OFF after that lol:
I always said, when I see on tv or at store advertising like 50% OFF..."this is a bs. they mark up the regular price 100% and then they offer the "big sale discount" of 50% OFF from the 200% regular price"...

The question I have is: what if after we discuss the charges and the total, I reach in my pocket and say: "aaa, by the way, I have this coupon for $150 OFF"...I hope they not gonna get pissed off on me, lol.

Must present at time of purchase. Not when paying for purchase.

Oh yes I agree, but I will present the emailed coupon only after the estimate is presented to me, I will not say up front "I need this repair and BTW I have a coupon of $150 for $300+ job"...

I always get a written estimate prior to ordering maintenance. I don't know about other jurisdictions, but a written estimate is required in Florida.

I am looking to have the dealer purchase and mount all season tires to replace my summer tires.
Any chance I can use the special for that?
Thanks!

Depends what they charge for labor. I don't think they take it off for parts. There's a separate special for tires. I think they're running a special for $140 off tires til Nov 30th.

https://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/servi...parts/overview

But I'd just get tires at Costco, they usually have the lowest price, have a free 5 year road hazard warranty and do lifetime balance and rotation. You won't get any of that at the dealer...

Even with the $150 discount MB's tires are much more expensive than what you can get to other places, like "America's Tire" for example.

They did tell me they will match the price of tire rack.

If parts are not included I won't be able to use it as the labor charge for mounting and balancing the tires was about $150.

Thanks for the link on the tire savings as I was switching out the summer tires on my E53 to Coni DWS's. Hopefully the car will get here (and released) by the end of November. It just left Halifax so I doubt it.

Thanks everyone!

Get them to price match the price at Costco. Last time I got a set of tires there, the Michelin's had $70 off a set and they were doing 1 cent installation. They normally charge about $15 for mounting and balancing per tire and that includes 5 year road hazard and lifetime balance, rotation.

I called around my local dealerships in CT. My first service A is due in Dec. I got prices from $299-$340. So based on this coupon Im going to go to the $299 dealer ~$300 and apply the $150.

Well see if the $1 makes a difference in the eligibility of the coupon.
Thanks for posting!

Don't forget that $19+ sales tax that will put you over the $300 mark. There may be other add-ons such as shop supplies, too.

My wife just used this coupon today. Her 2012 SLK battery died (not a bad run) and the total with parts and labor was $356. They took the coupon, with taxes the price was reduced to what I'd pay (200) for an AGM battery and I didn't have to bother with replacing it. So in our case, parts and labor qualified.

Or you could buy wiper blades, tire valve caps, etc. Maybe chip it!
