Active multicontour front seats with massage: ? Same a regular seats but with massage
First off, so thankful for the forum and the helpful folks here. MB may build wonderful cars, but their website and configurator are less-than-straightforward. I’ve read and searched for info on this, but remain confused.
Question RE the "Active multicontour front seats with massage" : do they look the same as the regular seats and feel the same when the massage is not engaged?
My my dealer can’t find a car in stock with that option for me to see. I don’t do much long-distance driving so think this isn’t worth the $$ unless there are additional comfort and visual advantages over the regular seats.

I have the massage seats in my coupe. I also sat in a coupe without massaging seats, felt the same otherwise, As the driver I use the massage function maybe once or twice a week That said nearly every weekend my wife likes to put them on, she enjoys them very much. Especially now on cooler nights, massage plus seat heaters is quite nice. Not a deal breaker not having had them before, but I don't think I'd get a car without them moving forward.

I like the active feature more than the massage. When you go around curves, the side bolsters move to hold you in place. They move in proportion to your speed and how much you are turning - it is an interesting feeling and maybe a little gimmicky, but I feel more in control of the car knowing the seat is keeping me in position.
Never tried the massage feature...

Really funny... the 2018/19 sedans and Coupe have the active seats available as an opinion but the Cabroilet only has the seats with massage—no active portion. I wonder why?

Ya, I noticed that with my Cabriolet, no active side bolsters, nothing on the menu mentions it. The message function works fine. I have the regular non mulitcontour seats in my wagon and the seats feel very comfortable to me, you can't really fine tune them like you can the multi contour seats in my cabriolet but can't really tell all that much of a difference between the two other than not having the massage feature on my wagon.
