Mods, can you please change the title of this thread to, "I bought a totaled car and now it won't start for some reason"?

Hey by chance did your car have power and was tumbling or there was no power what so ever. Reason I'm asking is that my 2019 W177 A200 got slightly flooded out, no water entered the interior but I park it up for a couple weeks and now it has now power at all. Tried changing the battery but no luck.

GLE450 won’t start

Hello everyone,

I have a 2020 GLE450 with the 48v mild hybrid battery from auction with very very very light damage to the side. Only curtain airbag blew and seatbelts. Car does not start. But it turns on.

how do we get these new cars to start? I know old Mercedes’ has pyrofuse on battery, but the new one doesn’t seem to have pyrofuse.

any help is very much appreciated.

It is likely you need to re-enable start using xentry. Please see post #34 and see if helps.

I apologize for bringing up this old post. I recently bought a 2015 Mercedes Benz C-Class, air bags were deployed, and the vehicle won't start. I learned that the vehicle engine start was disabled by the ECU. This model up to newer ones, engine start is usually disabled by the ECU after a crash event. You need a professional scanner or any OBD2 scanner that has a function to re-activate the engine start. I learned this here, search for "Car Won’t Start After an Accident" on YOUCANIC. and you will see an article that goes over common causes and possible fixes, you can read about it yourself. I hope this information can assist someone else with a similar issue.
