Sirius Preset Stations
With our new 2019 CLS, I find that you have to select your Preset Sirius radio stations each and every time you start your car. What Gives MB? The radio defaults to the Sirius radio stations listing after you shut off the car. Never had this issue before. I will re-check the owner manual and see what additional steps need to be done to overcome this minor inconvenience. :zoom:

Once you save the stations you want saved (I assume you know how to save stations?). You then push the central command dial to bring up the list of saved stations. Choose one by pushing the comand dial on the preset you want and you'll be in preset mode. Saved stations can be a combination of Sirius and FM or HD FM.

Done that. Still defaults to Sirius channel listing. Thanks for the input. It just started doing this recently. Will reset all stations again and see what happens. |
What profile are you using? Guest, or a server-synced profile?

My local MB dealer has a technology consultant (also a salesman) and when I had questions about the radio, XM and HD, he was the one who knew the answer or where to find the answer.. I suggest you talk with your salesperson.

Thanks.

The system works intermittently. So i will wait until my first service and deal with my local dealership. Any yes, I am aware of the concierge service provided. I have used them in the past with limited success. Having owned about 10 MB's, I can attest that with the amount of technology these cars have these days and some not BETA tested properly, we are going to run into some minor glitches. Thanks for the comments.

You will see the message on your radio screen when you first turn your radio on. It’s not that often that they do updates. :zoom: |

In System Settings, there is a section on Profiles. These profiles can be used to switch your preferences, stations, configurations, map settings, favorites, and more. By default, you are using the "Guest" profile, which should work just fine. However, you can define and use other profiles when you log in to Mercedes Me Connect. These profiles sync to a server, so it's possible something may be funny there. Check what profile you're using. If it's Guest, it shouldn't be affected.

I use my own named profile and do not have issues with SiriusXM presets.

Right now is working. I may try your approach and see where it goes from there. :zoom: |
Tomorrow the car is going in for diagnostic and hopefully they will find out what is causing the irregularities in the display instrument. It’s gotten worse. H. :zoom: |

The dealership performed various COMAND updates and it appears that the issues of intermittent wrong Comand displays on the driver's side screen, may have been corrected. Will see. :zoom:

Here's a good dealer tutorial on using the presets and keeping them separate for easy access:
|
You'll get really good at reentering presets. They only last about 5 months or so.
