Traffic?
I get my 2018 E tomorrow. I have command in the car. I’m confused do I get traffic through Sirius or MBrace? |
AFAIK In the US traffic advisories are provided via MBrace. I can't be certain because I've always had a SiriusXM (12 for $60) subscription.

Is MBrace something that is free with new Mercedes, or do we pay for it? Familiar with Mercedes ME connect, but not MBrace.
|
I can’t tell if it is or not. My car is being delivered at 11 today. Guess I’ll find out |
Traffic is provided via the mobile internet connection and TomTom Traffic. Those services are free for about 3 years. After that, you'll need to pay for them.

So you need to pay for WiFi through MBrace? |

Your new car will have Apple Car Play and you may want to consider using WAZE. It is the best nav and traffic system out there and costs nothing if you have a data plan on your phone.

Just Mercedes me connect services (3 years included) and Concierge, none of which mention traffic. Nothing about MBrace. |

I see nothing on the MB web site or vehicle builds that discusses MBrace, 3 year trial subscription, or anything about traffic. My dealer has never mentioned anything about MBrace or a subscription and/or pricing.

I agree with Petee. WAZE is the best program to use.

Mercedes me requires Mbrace. When I purchased my MY18 E300 Mbrace was included for 4 years.
|
I've always been happy with the traffic updates I get on my routes using Google Maps over Android Auto. I've never used waze, so I cannot comment on how it compares.

Interesting how things change each year. I don't subscribe to any extras, but I still get traffic info on the nav display.

On the '19 model year, Mbrace isn't mentioned anymore - just Mercedes Me Connect. I actually tried using Me Connect in my car to cancel an older mbrace contract, and I had to call in by phone - seems they're not connected.

The ONLY thing you should be able to use Mercedes Me for on a 2019 Model Year car is use MBFS (their finance service). Otherwise, everything else is via Me Connect.
