Touchscreens in cars is not the way to go.
Dangerous
They get dirty
force you to sit closer to steering wheel then safety dictates.
Keep the wheel - spend time improving it.
My ipad andphone screen are nasty and you cannot keep up keeping them clean.
I MISS BUTTONS that you can feel switch... Dayum Steve Jobs and his hatred for buttons...arggggggggggggggggg

MB provide multiple input methods even with the new MBUX system that features a touchscreen. So, in this case I have no problem with it.
Although, I am sad to see the wheel go. I would have preferred that they ditch the center console track pad and enlarge the wheel, making the top of it touch sensitive so that it can be used for gestures and handwriting inputs (similar to what BMW did a few years ago).

Personally, I prefer the rotary dial as well. But I suppose at some point you have to fish or cut bait about how many input systems you'll have in a car. This solution is sleeker too.
I would have liked to have heard the deliberations on which input system will stay and what has to go.
Otherwise, looks pretty much the same.
Mule?
