my 2016 e400 lease is up and my new e450 wagon is on its way...hope to have it in about a month and will post some pics once it arrives..I must say that I have had zero problems with this car ...Probably the best one yet and I have had about 10 of them...really excited about the new one coming though... |
We can't wait to see pics and hear your impressions Martin. Woo Hoo to your new car coming soon!
Great looking wagon you have - can't wait to see the new one.
We got to sit in a 2019 E450 Wagon at the Philly auto show last week. Very Nazzzzice. It was metallic blue. What color exterior and interior did you pick?
We are considering trading up from our E500 wagon to an E400 or E450 wagon so maybe we'll see your old one on the MB CPO site :) |
Hi Sleeper Benz. My new one is Selenite Grey with black leather interior..I’ve gone back to the burl walnut trim...haven’t had that trim for a couple of models...it’s got most of the options except for the cooling and massaging seats. I was told by my dealer that the car should be in Halifax at the auto port on or about March 4 so hopefully I will get it shortly thereafter. I have never had a car ceramic coated before but am planning on getting this done before I take delivery. |
Looking forward to seeing pictures of your new wagon, congrats!
Your gonna like the E450 Wagon. I've got slightly over 5000 miles on mine and really enjoying driving the car.
5000 Miles????? Wowza. I just hit 838 miles on my E450 and we got our cars about the same time!
Yep, I should be somewhere between 20 and 25K miles per year on the wagon. On my Cabriolet I hope to keep it under 9K miles per year. I have a GM pickup truck too but only do around 7K miles per year on that Hauling my boat around during the summer. It made a lot of sense on my Wagon buying the 5 year 100K mile warrantee. This will give me an extra 50K miles of warranty all for around 2 grand. I didn't bother with a Extended on the Cabriolet. Just the Tire and Rim package and the ding protector package from Dent Wizard.

trying to post a better pic of my current wagon which will be leaving me within the next few weeks...its been a great car
Your current car is going to be a great used car for someone - Distronic option is rare on S212 wagons around here - that, plus the color wheel combo and condition of it, should sail off the dealer's lot to the next owner.

Update. My new wagon was to be here in Nova Scotia on or about March 4. Still haven’t got it. I did extend my lease for 2 months and went on a 3 week vacation expecting my wagon to arrive while we were away .i had turned in my 2016 e400:wagon. My new one was ordered in October. Anyway my dealer told me not to worry and it left me a new 2019 e 450 sedan at the airport upon my return and told me to use it until the new one arrives. My dealer Oregans of Halifax is excellent and even though I don’t have my new one yet I thought that that was pretty good customer service. I just found out on Friday that my new wagon is now at the port in Germany and hopefully I will have it within the next couple of weeks .
I wonder why it has taken so long. I ordered mine (also a 2019 e450 wagon) in December and picked it up at the end of March. I would assume a parts availability issue? Have they been able to explain it?
hi Madtrader...no they have not been able to explain the delay...the dealer suggests it might be a certification issue 'whatever that means, but it really doesn't know for sure and is trying to find out..the dealer has also stated that mine isn't the only one and that it has several others being held up in Germany as do other dealers across Canada...might be different in USA....

Should not be EPA, the cars are already certified, more than likely it was a parts supply issue that slowed down the production, that's generally what it is. It'll be worth the wait though, these are great cars. My wagon and Cab are the most favorite cars I've owned and I've owned a lot of them :)

We typically put between 2k 3 3k miles/year on our cars. Our used cars at trade/sell time are highly prized for sure!

Wow, that's strange, you'd think you would have had it sometime in March. That is frustrating.
