How do you determine best Tire Size/Wheel Width and Offest?

W 213 E300 - Sedan

Sport Package
Premium 3

The car has a good amount of under-steer compared to the W212 I am used to driving.

I am looking at buying a set of staggered wheels and tires but other than bolt pattern, I don't know where to start.

I dont drive like a maniac but I just like having smooth and consistent control. Traction control goes off all the time on wet road conditions.

Currently.

245/35/18 (all around)

you might be able to put 265/30/18 on rear with existing wheels.

adds bit over 3/4" in width which would push inside tire surface 3/8" - see if you have enough room...

245/35-18 is way incorrect size for W213 (should be 245/45-18). 265/30-18 is even more so (btw, incorrect for W212 as well). Additionally fyi 265/30-18 can never be fitted on (W213 stock) 8" wide rim (need 9" wide minimum).

Correct. However, what does W212 have to do with W213 regarding this thread?

I do not even understand OP's question. For starters, there's no way 245/35-18 can be on his W213 (its a massive 2" less diameter than stock). Maybe there's a typo, but there're too many variable to guess.

I’m also in the process of wheel shopping. It’s a little nerve recking with the custom wheels that need to be built to your cars specs. Its no longer a afternoon trip to wheel store and getting a set of nice wheels mounted that same day.
I’m hoping we get some actual useful answers in this thread.

Use your stock wheels as a reference point then use www.willtheyfit.com
As long as you aren't lowering there won't be issues.

I found www.wheel-size.com to provide the most info:
