"New" Mercedes Me
Has everyone (anyone) received an email from MBUSA about changes to Mercedes Me app effective April 12, 2019?
The mail does specify what the changes are. Any ideas?? https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...44c6d44f62.jpg |
Here's the big change: It actually starts WORKING !!!
Remote start works 1 out of 10 tries... . |
These mails never specify what's new and you're not going to get new services you haven't paid for.
Worst of all, MB never activate/add new services to current cars. So if your vehicle didn't come with it, you're not getting it. |

we had the same message here in France, though nothing changed
|
I got the message with about 20+ pages….I sent it to my lawyer. LOL :zoom:

I've never received an email from MBUSA. Perhaps it is because my email address is at fen-net.de in Fürth Bayern.

Mercedes Me Connect is only for 2019 vehicles, is that correct?

Yes, and only 2019 owners will receive this email.

In the UK I was told that Mercedes Me Connect was being phased out and replaced with just Mercedes Me. In the UK the Mercedes Me Connect has now stopped working and the new Mercedes Me app seems great with lots of new features for 2019

I have a 2018 E400 Coupe (and yes, I’m aware that I’m posting my message on the forum for the E Class sedan), and I received the same email yesterday. I’ll have to check out the Mercedes Me app on April 12th to see if anything changed.

Unless your 2018 is capable of utilizing ME Connect now, April 12th won't get you additional access. It requires an updated Hermes module that is hardware; new for 2019 and some late produced 2018 models.
My understanding is that there were a few 2018's that have it.....and I mean few.

Hmmm. Nothing from MBUSA yet.
|
I got the email. Sort of took a stab at reading all the way through. I guess we'll see what if any changes actually happen on April 12th.
|
Maybe remote pilot? Fingers crossed!
|
Wouldn't that be something! I bet we never get it though........:(
|
It would be great to have it for sure.

Hi I’ve just 3 days ago acquired a e class saloon and have problems with Mercedes Me Connect. I have loaded the app on my iPhone and that appear to function but the navigation system (premium plus) is not working. The showroom told me Mercedes Me will take a few hours to activate but now on day 3 it’s stil not working. Are you suggesting that I will have to wait until April 12 and the new system for a working version of M Me?
Regards |
It shouldn’t need the new version to work. Sometimes it does take a little time. It was over 2 weeks for me.
If it gasnt connected soon I would send a message to the Mercedes Me team to follow up. |

No. I'm a 2018 owner, which is why I made the original post. If you got rhe email and downloaded the new "Terms" they say 2019 and compatible 2018 models, which are not further defined. Guess I'll wait for April 12, and not be disappointed when nothing changes.
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...e903ca7853.png The adventure continues. Checking the Mercedes me website today (for end-of-warranty info regarding 2015 ML350) they continue to imply that my 2018 E300 "supports" Mercedes me Connect, and it's not even April 12th yet. I'm not able to get by the dealer for a couple of days, so I remain hopeful yet skeptical. I'll keep you posted. To try your own 2018, go to MBUSA.com, select Owners (upper right), and log in to Mercedes me. See what happens. |
