Has anyone retrofitted their W213 with the "original" steering wheel to the new one? If so, are you happy with it?

If you are talking about this new steering wheel like this one (I sell it because I changed it for AMG steering wheel)


that is more than possible
the only thing that the new steering wheel have cruise control switchers on it
And the old steering wheel doesn't and it controls from the under wheel module
So if you are planning to install new steering wheel you need the wheel itself plus new MRM module (that is under the steering wheel with gearbox, wipers and steering wheel control and heating switchers but w\o cruise control) plus coding.

All new style steering wheels could have heat, even AMG

For heated steering wheel you will also require the small arm on the steering column. That may be a problem if you have to change the column.

If you change the MRM module that I was talking about, you can get a new one with the heating switcher already (small arm)
This modules come with different options, with or without heating switcher also

It might be heated on pure amg cars, but a E220d for example looses the sport steering wheel, if you choose heating. This is in the Norwegian online car configuration.

Sport steering wheel is the only one that has no heating option

Mine is facelifted. 2019. So no coding for me needed.
My workshop that installed the steering wheel for me, they also made lots of pre facelifted w213s 2016-2017 without that module. Just mrm module, new steering wheel and coding.
You don’t need this adapter for w213 retrofit

I actually prefer the steering wheel without the cruise control switches on it. I believe the stalk for the cruise control is better fitting for use.

How much did the retrofit cost you? (The amg steering wheel specifically). I'm planning to do the retrofit but not able to source the OEM AMG steering wheel at a good price.

Hey @FedM can you tell what workshop that is? You are saying that a PreFacelift W213 can be retrofitted to the new wheel with MRM and working Cruise Control on the wheel?
Im based in Germany and no one here can do it.

Yes that is correct
Lots of cars here in Moscow had been retrofitted already by different workshops
So the workshop name won't tell you much, sorry about that

cause there are about 10 numbers for it depends on you car options

I don't need heating.

Try to contact this guys they can help. They made lots of retrofits. They are in Russia, but you can contact them and ask to help with the correct part #
PS I doubt the oled screens will work for you. And do you have Distronic option in you car? What steering wheel do you have right now?
