took car in for noise

Took my e400 wagon in for noise coming in like a tuning fork over 78mph, and shop forman is going to be taking it home to put some miles on it. should i be worried?

I am now thinking about the valet scene from Ferris Buellers Day Off...

Surprised dealer would allow that for insurance purposes.

I would never trust my baby to some foreman to drive it 80 MPH+ What were you thinking?

Trust me, I'm a professional.

You hear that, Cameron? He's a professional.

I have the same noise. Pretty sure it's the run-flat tires. A loaner E-class had the same issue. I have a post here about an 80 MPH hum, most likely the tires.

Yep my Good year Sport Run Flats do that. My Michelin Primacy ZP's on the Cabrio don't.

The good thing for the shop foreman is if he/she gets any tickets from a speed camera, you have to pay them. It's a win-win situation for the both of you...
