That is perfect where it is now. You don’t want it all the way up to the top. All the way up to the top it’ll turn red and give you a drain one quart message. I had a service writer at the Benz dealer that was misinformed and he had the tech add a quart only to have to drain it again when it indicated overfill. That was over a year ago. My e450 that I have now has a good old fashioned dip stick. I kinda like that better. Just make sure when you activate that digital gauge your on level ground. Being on a uphill will give you a low reading and a downhill a high reading. I guess the sensor must be in the front of the pan.
