Why does my MSRP have a $250 SPC code

Anyone have an idea why my 2020 E350 MSRP has a $250 code SPC (special order charge) ?

Did you get the Rear Seat Side Airbags, or Heated Rear Seats, or Acoustic Comfort Package? They're all considered Special Order Options, and require an additional $250 charge. I have to factor that in, should I choose to get the Acoustic Comfort Package.

Hopefully, if you order more than one of the above, there's only a single $250 charge, but I don't know that.

That makes the most sense (assuming there /has/ to be a special order charge). Otherwise, they'd just increase the price of each by $250. I can /almost/ understand the SPC for the acoustic comfort package, but to add it for heated rear seats, which are standard with most luxury cars, seems like overkill.

No, it's like charging you for putting the ketchup on the table, and then adding a fee if you actually use it. Still BS. It must be that these few options have to be added outside the normal production line, requiring additional operations that add cost. That, of course, is giving MB the benefit of the doubt.
