The All-Terrain is group think at its worse. MB copies Audi, Audi copies Subaru, Subaru copies Volvo. Not an original thought since the Volvo Cross Country. But the real problem is that it is a poorly executed copy. The cladding extending on to the rear doors is a mistake that would embarrass a freshman design student, then the reflectors in the front wheel cladding, where did they come from and what purpose do they serve. The lower front facia is much too heavy. The grill isn't bad. It would look good in the Sport trim. The black cladding around the botton is de regeur, but the black valance in the rear looks like a crude tack on. Again the rear lower facia looks much too heavy.
It would not be so bad, if it didn't mean giving up the elegant, graceful, stylish classic E wagon (at least in the US).
Lastly even outside the US, the luxury trim has lost much of its appeal with that dime store grill. I have a hard time believing anyone spent more than 10 minutes "designing" it. Really a travesty of the traditional grill.
Stream's car makes all of the above semi-obvious. The only change I would make to it would be 10 spoke wheels.
