W213 windows are not closing
Hello,
MY2016 W213 220d
Problem: windows do not close using the auto (second click on the button). If holding the button to close it manually, it will drop a bit whet it hits the top.
The car has been to the dealer and they have said that they have seen the error code and that they have updated the window module with the latest software.
It did not fix it.
I'm trying to find out what is causing it, so I can tell the dealer what needs to be fixed or fix it myself (I believe that they have just done the reset and told me about the soft. update... blah blah blah)
Each time this happens, I do the reset of each window that does not work, so that it does close auto and also with the "soft" closing.
Unfortunately after some time, it stops working again.
Not all windows at the same time and not on daily bases. More like every other day.
Any idea why is it recurring?

MBUSA released attached bulletin although it has not been updated since 2017 you can reference it to support request for dealer to contact MB technical assistance to assist.

that basically saying that there is no fix and each time to just reset the window(s)
Another forum suggested to check the state of the battery, as most of the time windows often need resetting after a low battery.
This is a movement forward.

My car had the exact same issue. They reprogrammed the window code. It was only on one window. I’m surprised they treated you like that. They let you away with out correcting your issue. That’s kinda messed up, sorry to hear this. I would suggest another dealer. This was a really easy fix for them and a known issue. I would not let the dealer give you your car back if it’s not fixed again.

But I think I have figured out that the problem will be in the battery, as after an hour drive, it is only partially charged, as per the mercedes me app.

Here’s the thing about waiting. My remote start wouldn’t work due to this. When the remote start process works, it tests the windows if they closed. Because the window was bad, it rejected the remote start. I would keep taking the car back until it gets fixed. Dealers and car manufacturers should stand by their product and fix the problem. Which is why I felt they let you go w/o correcting the issue. You deserve a perfect car, the dealer needs to address the issue until your 100% satisfied.
