High Mileage E400?
Hey All
Been looking at E400s and found a high mileage wagon in the right combination (was looking for MB Tex as must have and ideally burl walnut but this dark wood is close enough) and it's the luxury line too!

The only thing is mileage is a bit high and there's no way to verify service history so I'll have to factor in probably getting servicing it. But aside from that, does anyone have an E400 with higher mileage and what's your experience been with reliability as it gets closer to the 100K mi mark
Thanks!

Interested to hear what others say on this. Picked up my 2017 E400 wagon with 87K miles on the clock last fall (1-owner), currently at 91K. Only issue I've had is cosmetic - Midwest car and I found the paint chipping inside one of the fenders after this winter. Nothing mechanical so far though (knock on wood) and interior is still holding up great. I did buy the car with a full dealer service record going back to new though so that gave me peace of mind, not sure if I would have bought it otherwise.
Are there any euro shops nearby that you could get a pre purchase inspection done? Also, pretty sure you can have any MB dealer run the vin and pull service history if it was dealer serviced?
Love my E400 though! Sport package with P2 and full air ride. Coming from mostly Audi/VWs, my only complaint is there isn't a lot of aftermarket support for these cars right now but know that's par for the course outside of AMG models.

Never buy a high mileage merc!
Mercedes are over engineered. They will fail and cost a fortune to fix. 85% of buyers lease them because they break all the time. My 2020 E450 has been in the shop 13 times! Lmao what a racket!
